People keep talking about bobbery having the best attack, but there’s something to be said about Yoshi’s stampede: It hits all enemies (including flying enemies, the description straight up lies in both the original and the remake), it hits 6 times so it scales better with attack increases (ie. power rush increases the first hit by 2, then the second hit by 1), and it’s less fp. Of course, it’s worse against foes with defense, so you’ll have to know which ones have that, which is an obvious weakness. Just something to consider!

26:07 Provided you nail the action command, Shell Slam has a base Attack of 6, while Stampede deals 1 damage 6 times. Shell Slam additionally pierces defense, which is very helpful against certain enemies.

It also means stampede scales better from damage increases. It also hits flying enemies just not ones on the ceiling. So they're all useful in their own way which is really nice. Bobbery's new attack hits everything hard in one go but doesn't pierce defenses if I remember correctly. Shell slam gets to pierce defense to always do 6 damage if the command is done right. Then stampede gets to do some much higher damage if you scale up his attack but it's useless against anyone with defense. Honestly, in terms of moves the partners are really balanced well and have their own themes. Just wish some did a bit better.. like Flurrie is basically useless even from the moment you get her. Ms. Mowz is laughable. Vivian's only good thing really is fiery jinx but that is a really good attack at least.

The triple Shine Sprite room is interesting. You can technically get all three your first time here if you’re careful about it, but mess up and you have to wait until after Chapter 6, as you mentioned.

A good cheese strat for Mush is Charge, Power Lift & Rally Wink with Defense Plus Badges. Warning, Mush is immune to Zap Tap.

Which makes him a foil to The Master in the first game, where Zap Tap was single-handily the best badge for the fight, since it cuts his combos short. Not so much with Prince Mush, of course. He doesn't mess around.

@@Lightgod87 I'm surprised the Remake didn't add Lee, Chan & The Master as Superbosses after beating the game. Or the Koopa Bros. or Jr. Troopa for their well deserved rematches. Remakes sometimes add new content that wasn't in the original like how FEE:SOV added DLC units that weren't in FE Gaiden at all. The Koopa Bros. never got their rematch. Jr. Troopa interrupted him.

Random fun fact: the Koopatrols have actually been *nerfed* in TTYD compared to the first Paper Mario. THey originally had 8 HP, but now here they have 6, and this was true even in the GC version. No idea why they felt it was needed, but there it is. Also, lots of talk about which partner is the best with Ultra Rank now, most of which is centered on which has the highest numbers, but the answer of best partner has always been Goombella, because giving Mario two turns is easily gonna outdamage anything partners can do in single target scenarios outside of star power. And if AoE is needed, Vivian wins because Fiery Jinx hits all enemies, and with her Ultra Rank stat boost she does 5 piercing damage and does burn, making it effectively six damage, for six FP, and most importantly it's reliable since fire immunity is rare. Bobbery has more damage with 8, but it costs a whopping 9 FP, and is affected by both defense and fire immunity. Koops and Yoshi Kid both also do 6 damage for 6 FP, but Koops is limited to ground units, and Yoshi Kid gets ruined by defense since it's six hits of 1HP. They can slightly pull ahead if facing 0 defense enemies *and* they're buffed with multiple Power Plus P badges, but this is a rare and costly strategy. Overall, Vivian is more reliable and just a better generalist fighter that can hit any enemy unless fire immune.

0:43 to 0:44 - Wait, I didn't know I could do that! In all the times I've played this game, I had no idea I could just blow up that fallen column using Bobbery! What the hell?! Edit: Some badges I just get for the sake of filling up the collection and then sell 'em. And yeah, Peekaboo is a useless badge because Goombella can just tattle enemies. Why have a badge like that when your party member can just get info on them? Although, I guess the one time it CAN be useful is during the second Doopliss boss fight in chapter 4 when Mario's name and body was stolen, but that's really only for the remake. It was completely useless in the GameCube version. 2nd edit: You coulda bought a Jammin' Jelly in the Deepdown Depot and a regular or Super 'Shroom topside to cook a Jelly 'Shroom or Jelly Super. That restores HP and FP, after all. Could help you in the FP department, is all I'm saying. 3rd edit: Also, the HP and FP Drain badges drop Mario's attack power, so I DON'T equip 'em! I get 'em JUST to sell 'em!!! 4th edit: 🎶Where to go? What to do? Could it be somebody super like you?🎶 If y'know, y'know. 5th edit: Dizzy Dial is dizziness. Ruin Powder is confuse.

FP drain usually isn’t too good but it pairs well with danger Mario with flower savers, I did that combo and Mario could do most of his attacks for 1 do only to immediately heal the fp back with any attack including the attack that cost fp in the first place
