this game for me was such a staple. I came to the US when I was 7 years old and i didn't know how to play this on my gamecube and could just never get past the underground area right after rougueport because of a tutorial. months later, learning English, having to navigate life and school. this game was such an accomplishment to go back to. it was the foundation of my empathy and understanding people, told through such a whimsical and fun concept. this song never fails to make me cry, not only because of the ingame context, but because of the lessons it tells in such a raw way'. i've played this game about 5 times now. characters like vivian and bobbery are just not seen in the franchises nowadays. I understand the attention economy, but story arcs like this game are just so incredible. here's for a switch remake with added content or a new full, well made game!

I love how every partner has individual cheers like "Ahoy, Bobbery!" and "GO GONZALES" but for Vivian it's just "C'mon, Vivian" like no one really even cares they just flat out expect her to do a bad job they could hardly even remember her in the cut scene. *sniffles* Well I only used Vivian through the entire Pit of 100 Trials and beat Bonetail with her!

I just beat this game the other day (for like the fourth time) and I remembered all the people I met all the significant characters and some of the ones that are just there i remembered all the locations, enemy's, and partners I met along the way, I remembered everything the good and bad times and after those credits rolled I ended the game I saved and returned to the title screen I staid there for a minute listening to the music and I started all over again.

Amazing curiosity. All Crystal Stars represent one of the seven deadly sins: - Diamond Star - Gluttony. (Hooktail almost eat all inhabitants of the petal meadows region, it killed some People of nearby towns from Petalburg, it has eaten Kolorado's Father and some more koopas that now are dead corpses or undead dull bones, only Koops's Father survived, but it was eaten and fighting for survive inside Hooktail's Belly for 3 Years.) - Emerald Star - Wrath (this was the most difficult one... the are some indicatives of Wrath in punis... Puni Elder is a character that gets angry every time, Jabis and Punis were fighting a lot of time for the tree, also despite being the Emerald Star Hidden... The Boss, Lord Crump, tried to kill Mario and all Punis, also that fat stubborn puni becomes angry sometimes). - Gold Star - Pride (All Glitz Pit characters are full of pride, Rawk Hawk was a Cheater that was defending his champion 's rank, another ones like the Armoried Harriers were doing the same... But the more Pridest Character is Macho Grubba, a Retired Fighter, the one Who used the Gold Star to steal Fighter's life force to mantain himself young and strong, being unable to age, Grubba is a Fighter with a big pride, as shown fighting with Mario, he wanted to mantain his glory as the previous number 1 Fighter... and when Mario beat him in the Gold Star Power Up form... he was respectful with Mario to take a good fight with him). - Ruby Star - Envy (Doopliss punished Twilighters because he didn't like how they are, transforming here into pigs, Doopliss was aware of his aspect and name, hiding his name and using a certain magic to stole someone's identity (Mario in this case), this was more envious due to not like himself. ) - Sapphire Star - Greed (Cortez was the King of Pirates, the Greedest one, his treasure is amazing and he stole a great amount of treasure during centuries, also Flavio's Ancients were greedy People too, stealing one part of Cortez's Treasure... also Keelhaul Key's expedition was originally to have Cortez's Treasure). - Garnet Star - Sloth (The only crystal star that isn't keeped for any boss, Poshley Heights is a town inhabited by rich People that disfrutes living People and with more luxury in her houses... Pennington is a Sanctum Keeper that prefers trying to be a detective more than doing his Job (he didn't knew about the Garnet Star's true location inside HIS OWN HOUSE), also Excess Express represents Sloth being a peaceful train where People stays peacefully before Smorg attacking them). - Crystal Star - Lust (only one characters represents this, TEC, ufff... this was one the one Who makes Mario able to retrieve the Crystal Star from the Moon to Earth, also... Bob Omb in Fahr Outpost aren't luxurious but they have a Huge Love for his traditions and his cannon, they love only Bob Ombs, that makes theme some racist and could represent Lust in some ways).

The whole moment in which this song plays is absolutely beautiful in nearly every sense of the word. 20 years later and it _still_ manages to make me tear up. Truly a Nintendo game for the ages

When I reached the Shadow Queen, I was like "Oh crud, I'm gonna die." Then this happened, and I felt all heroic and gained the courage to fight! Good games should always include events like this.
