Not only was it the 2nd best selling game in May, but it also outsold The Origami King's launch sales figures, as well as the amount it sold during it's launch month as well. It's on track to completely outsell The Origami King and every other previous Paper Mario game combined.

the fact it was second most selling during May meant that in less than 2 weeks, TTYD climbed almost to the very top of the leaderboard, not even to mention a entirely new M&L game with all of the new unique and expressive characters. i am VERY hopeful for the next Paper Mario games

Just finished my first playthrough of ttyd and it was such a fun time. Especially when they gave more spots to fast travel. Main issue will always be chapter 2. Why didn't they fix it? It's still so terribly designed. Why do we go from seeing the shadow sirens argue to the tree to the house back to the shadows back to house then tree? They could have fixed it by making us fight the shadow sirens first. Get the necklace then go to the house then to the tree to make it a straight forward experience especially since the inside of the tree is so badly prepared with the little helpers running

Ghost of Tsushima has gotta be Playstation's most successful game on PC other than Helldivers 2. Glad to see Sucker Punch finally getting the recognition they deserve. They've been in Naughty Dog, Guerrilla, and Santa Monica's shadow for far too long and, in my opinion, they're just the better studio

I mean honestly I enjoyed it like the game was really fun and I loved it. I never play the original and that was my first time playing it on the switch. And it was a lot of fun, 2, the weapons were really fun. Especially the bosses, they were really fun to fight and to be honest, I really did enjoy the game. It was really fun. And I do our plan to play the other paper mario games, whether they get imported to the switch, which i've played the organic king and now thousand new door i'm really looking forward to playing more of the paper mario games as for the game itself.I would give it a nine out of ten

I don't believe it'll change Nintendo's approach to Paper Mario at all. Nintendo is insanely stubborn, and the only way they'll give us a "return to form" is if they feel like it. Look how long it took for Mario Party to go back to how it used to be. Also, Nintendo's the one that decided to move away from all this in the first place! It's not like people weren't complaining about the direction of the series since the Wii & for each new release, yet they continued on anyway. If anything, they'll give a Paper Mario 64 remake next just for the lulz & to use the engine again.

​@knuclear200x That's not at all what I said. I said that the Mario Party series changed so drastically because it shifted developers from Hudson to ND Cube, who were picked because of Wii Party. But Paper Mario doesn't have that problem, since it's always been made by Intelligent Systems. So, I can definitely see a return to the TTYD and 64 style of gameplay for the next entry thanks to this remake's success.

To be fair, they advertized it for like a month straight. I got ads well before its release, and still get them. I feel like that helps sales. Which is why I was very annoyed when they advertised Super Mario RPG for only a week, while also advertising Wonder, which then completely replaced RPG. And then they replaced that with an ad for ALL Mario games on Switch (except for RPG). It's like they wanted it to fail.

You people are over hyping yourselves up for a very big disappointment when it's revealed it hasn't out sold origami king and won't in the long run. Like seriously this look at the other series like fire emblem or xenoblade where the 2nd game to release on the switch hasn't done as well as the first one. Also please try to remember that the old school fans aren't the only ones that matter here and there are ton and I do mean a ton of fans who prefer the games like origami king, sticker star, and color splash and want more games like that. they matter just as much as the older fans and should not be thrown aside or ignored in favor of another group for no good reason, This attitude is very toxic and ignorant and should be discouraged as much as possible
