Great game if you are human but you know you can vote and become a ghost and then win with the ghosts is that allowed or should you always play on the side of your current role?

Anything's allowed if you think you can get away with it! The chance of becoming a ghost when voting a human overboard is based on the number of votes cast, but is ultimately still random, so you won't always become a ghost when voting a human overboard. That means you need someone else to take a risk with you (unless you've got an event in play that lets you throw someone overboard on your own). Also, voting an obvious human overboard paints a big target on your back, so you might find yourself being thrown overboard really quickly and ending the game as the stowaway! It's a risky play, but if you think you can pull it off it can earn you a win in a game you might have otherwise lost as a human!

Well spotted! Each time a pirate is in a successful job, their glow gets a little greener - but each time a pirate is in a failed job, their glow gets a little redder. If someone's in enough failed jobs, they're either a ghost, or just next to one! It can be a useful way to start a discussion about who you think might be a ghost.
