This was fun. I loved the baby outfit and linens. Back in the 60s my mom had a set of liquid embroidery pens. Those were much faster than actually embroidery stitching.

The problem that I find with most of the ones that I come across is they either brittle from improper storage or there is mold. More mold issues, from being stored in a basement for years.

I wish when I was younger I would have bought more at this flea market! I've been going here since I was a child and back then I was most likely just concerned about finding a stuffed animal or getting to buy some candy from the candy guy that used to be there. I can only imagine all the treasures this market had back then!

The "Lady in Dark" with that "Itch" again! A bathtub...yes...looks like the size some of my fr-gs would enjoy! The Toteman sure has quite a selection of stuff, I can see why you look forward to his presence at the market! Box of rabbits...no, the wrong kind of hoppers! With 3 totes of fr-gs, I could decorate the neighborhood, making all my neighbors "hopping mad"!! I have two player pianos...one uses paper rolls, the other floppy disc software. Got all your treasures!

A couple of things I would have bought would have been the piano paper and the other runners that had lace or embroidery on the end. I would probably resell most of the piano paper for junk junk journals and kept the runners for things I sell and wrap the packages I send out. Which I have to make and get in Etsy!🤗💖🦋

I think the painted linens were done using the Tri-Chem Liquid Embroidery kit from the 60's. The original set came in a round tin with an embroidery hoop attached. My mom got the set and made a few things with it. The tubes of paint had a roller ball tip to distribute the paint. I remember it was a real hassle if you didn't keep the tips covered, when not in use, but nothing stopped my mom from getting that roller ball working again.

Hello Renee. The Toteman brings the best treasure. I would have gotten the Garfield towel myself because he’s to cute . I’m glad you found some paper and vintage Christmas. I’m going in to get a flu shot tomorrow because the Dr. and I both forgot about me getting one today , but I plan on going to Habitat for Humanity and looking around and see if I can find anything good. I bought a box of those piano rolls off of Facebook Marketplace a while back, and I've been selling them on eBay for $10 apiece. Not a fast seller, but they do sell. I would have gotten those, depending on the price.

I bought a bird like the one at 1:00 for our tree when I was a kid. He got pretty grimy after a couple of years. One year he was no longer in the ornament boxes; my folks told me he went to live on a farm. I have my doubts. Fun ridealong at the Tote Man. Have a great Thursday!

My mom was told that a few times by her parents too! :0) The Tote Man only has one more weekend of selling at the flea market, so let's hope that he fills up every box and tote he has and really wows us all for one last hoorah. The apple cider has been delicious! Warm up a cup of it every night before bed as I'm checking emails and finishing up for the night. I'm reminded of the time when I went on an apple cider binge and possibly drank too much before I went to Florence, Italy. My stomach was in such knots and in so much pain, with the only thing different in my diet was the apple cider. The trip was still a success, though I know now that one can have too much of a good thing! Haha :0)

The painted linens were Fentex, a crafting fad in the '80s.

Yes! Mrs. Tote Man actually told me about Fentex but I couldn't remember the name that she said - she noticed the paint right away and said that her grandmother used to use that on linens. Thank you for providing the name!

Not a good time of year for bunnies 😂. Were the painted scenes on the cloths meant to be embroidered with thread (that's why the embroidery thread was in the same box)? Another viewer stated that the paint is called Fentex, which was popular in the 1980s. Not sure if they intended on embroidering them as well, probably would have looked rather nice!

@@PaperandMoose I want to apologize, because I am not familiar with American products. I had only noticed the connection with the embroidery yarns, which were in the same box. In Germany, there are mainly tablecloths with pre-drawn designs that are sold together with embroidery yarns to embroider the designs. Most of the designs are seasonal, for example candles on fir branches, spring flowers, Easter bunnies, but there are other motives as well.

Hey Rene! Love your videos. Not sure which flew market you are at in this video but I know you go to Leesport sometimes. Leesport is open all year and some of my best days were during the winter months. I know some markets close in winter but not Leesport. Just wanted to let you know.

My back does end up hurting, but mostly due to my bag & how it can get heavy at times. Making a pile & leaving it on the side is risky though, as some people mistakenly take things from there not knowing that it is a holding area for people as they shop.
