You can just go to support.brother.com and then download the latest software for the Mac. The version will be listed there.

Is there a way to make printed tags that have a faux stitched effect around the edges? Many of the current die sets have stitching, and I'd like to be able to make my own custom tags. I've watched several videos and tried searching, but I'm not finding anything. Is this something that you cover in any of your Udemy classes or here on KZbin? Maybe I've just missed it.

Yes Nichole, I covered stitching in my Brother ScanNCut - Cardmaking Course. It involves using dashes. I recommend metal dies. They are better at stitching. However, I do teach you how and it gives dimension to your projects.

Do you know how to change a group of items to draw file without doing them one at a time?

How often do you have to change your blade? I am new to ScanNcut2, but would like an idea of the average blade replacement. Thanks! Mine already seems dull after one project that used 10 sheets of cardstock.

I hardly ever have to change my blades. I change them maybe every 6 months and I use my machine every day to cut thousands of items. I just use a ball of foil to sharpen the blades. On the other hand, the mats are not sticky and I think I'm up to 14 or 15 mats at this point.

Sheri Lee I have done so many things to clean and restock my mats. I’ve probably tried 25 things at this point. The best results came when I washed my mats with warm water and used ZIG Two Way glue to restick them. Sometimes a Huggies baby wipe helped to get some lint off if I used cheap paper. That is only temporary.

Yes, of course they have updated since this tutorial which was recorded in 2018. Go to support.brother.com to download the latest software version for the PC. I’ve created videos in curving text which you can search for by using the terms Fit to Path or Curving Text. To me, that was the most useful software update from Brother.

on my brother canvas workspace for PC I have a button on the top of shapes the button says Canvas projects/Pattern collections yours does not have it do know why

I have a question for a problem I cannot find an answer for. I've looked so long my head hurts. I downloaded an SVG file and all the lines in the file are separate. So I weld all of them together but now I cannot move them around on the mat. The image is locked into place. If I don't weld them together, it wont save so I can cut it. I'm so sorry about my rambling but I'm flustered and stressed. Please help!! 🙏

when I open my Canvas work space on my computer the Canvas project just popped up and I just click on the project I wanted and it went to the canvas workspace of the pc I did not have to download anything it just went to the mat on my computer.I have the scan n cut 2 it takes a while for the canvas project to load but it loads on mine

Yes, mine does that now too. When I double-click, it goes right to the mat. I have learned so many new things since my first recording of this last year and I will be sure to share more videos soon.

Sheri Lee Both are free and both have advantages and disadvantages. If you just want to quickly pull up one of the free Projects from Brother, just go to the Cloud based version and quickly make a ready made project. If you want to work with fonts on your computer and designs t-shits using vinyl, for example, use the PC version.

I work off my iPad Pro...my program for this is not good at all...I don’t have all the selections they claim I should have...very disappointed to get. I bought this whole situation with brother...including the rhinestone “kit” ...so I could work anywhere on my pad...not so...program is glitchy..kicks me out...just not good. I have updated and done everything can think of. 😰
