Papermaking and metalsmithing are my whole life, but I tend to show you more of the papermaking. So let's spend a minute looking at the metalsmithing....a simple metal circle isn't so simple. There are a ton of steps to get just this one component made, and then I still have to make earwires, do all the papermaking, the resin, and a whole pile of finishing steps before anyone can wear these earrings. It's a lot, I know, but I deeply love the tedium of it all. I really do!

I LOVE your pieces and am in total awe with each video that I watch. You are an amazing artist! I can't believe I haven't seen your work before. Do you have (or have thought of) a patreon page where you can have tutorials for members? If you do, I would join immediately. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.

If you have the budget to spare, a centrifugal tumbler is a lot faster, more efficient, and gentler on both the parts and media. Rather that rolling or vibrating the drum as with an conventional tumbler, the drum stays stationary and you have a cone that spins up and shears the media with a gradient of angular velocities, so the media is pulled around into a twisting torus. It puts a lot more energy into the system, and the motion of the media is more optimal for rounding off and polishing your parts. At the same time, nothing clanks around, so there's also less wear on the media and less risk of distorting your parts.

Stunning. Have you ever considered making light fixtures? The stuff on the market today is terrible and boring!
