The lyrics are awesome, specially in the end, but... A rap? :/ I think this beautiful instrumental deserved more than that.

Hm, no? There's no such thing as a wrong opinion. I never stated anything as if it was a fact, I simply said my opinion. And there are several other people who already commented that agreed with me, just saying...

This is Adam WarRock. It's what he does. He writes rap songs about pop culture stuff. He was so impressed with Paperman that he wrote a rap song about it. If someone wrote a non-rap song about Paperman, then that's great too. However, you can't fault the man for doing his thing.

I'm not faulting him. It's nice that he made a tribute to the song, the "problem" is actually with one thing the rap has. The thing with the rap is that it draws a lot of attention to the lyrics and it has a rhythm completely apart from the instrumental (it doesn't complete it or sounds alike) so it kinda clouds the instrumental, putting it into a background that's barely noticeable because we're too focused on the lyrics. So the rap removed the song from the spotlight, putting lyrics in there instead. That's what I didn't really like. The parts in which he actually sang some lyrics (instead of speaking them) actually sounded very nice and went well with the song.
