Alright goobers here’s your ultimate guild for all the random questions that might come up (in order of occurrence): - The little confused terrorizer is “Power Up VT6” from the 2007 Real Gear Robots line - The little RC car is made by Hot Wheels sold at Walmart rn for around ~$20. Super fun toy btw, would buy again. - The adopted stray is Titan Master Shuffler from the Titan’s Return line :) - the heavenly gorgeous plain gray figure is Studio Series ROTF Soundwave. He is the greatest figure of all time and he is perfect in every way, including the impeccable paint job 👍 FUN FACTS and context cut from the video for time: DISNEY LABEL was the last TF “label” line ever made by Takara. If you’ve been around my channel, you might recognize that title because previous “label” sets included Music Label, Device Label, and Sports Label. In a full circle character arc, I’ve now unintentionally reviewed all of these lines in some form across my channel over the last year. This is the final chapter of that saga (everything is a saga now because it sounds cooler and marvel did it). It’s like character development, but pointless :) MONOCHROME VERSIONS: For anyone saying the monochrome figures are a reference to the original black and white cartoons: I’m sure that’s true, but Donald Duck and Buzz Lightyear never existed during the monochrome age of television. Donald first appeared in the Silly Symphony series which was Disney’s first colored media, so Mickey was the only character with black & white origins. My point is, it’s still a stupid reference that I’m confident didn’t sell well with Disney fans lol. I would know because I spent hours of my life scouring the internet for the few clips I showed of them in this video 😂 Also, the reason I realized these figures were large Mecha robots is because I noticed the mini figures sitting on top of the monochrome versions were still in color. At first I thought it was a lazy mistake by Takara, but then it clicked that the mini guys on their heads ARE the real characters controlling giant robots. It was too convoluted to keep that unnecessary context in the video, but I think that’s a fun attention to detail 😂

The monochrome Buzz's colors resemble the Intergalactic Buzz Lightyear toy that came out back in 1996. The only difference is that Intergalactic Buzz's wings had red stripes, while mono Buzz's wings have black stripes.

The thing with transformers is that it feels like they're wanting to sell you toys. Disney feels like they're trying to sell you on becoming a Disney person. Moreso like they're selling you a mindset that will keep you coming back forever no matter what they do. At least when TF toys suck, most fans are willing to admit it and skip a toyline (looking at you, Earthrise)

It’s got Mickey, goofy, Pluto, Minnie, Donald, and whatever the lady duck is and they all have giant Zord versions of themselves with little pilots behind the eyes. It’s a wild looking set. If only it wasn’t soul of chogokin priced.

You're really not wrong in the slightest about Disney characters feeling like marketing mascots, because that's literally what Disney has done to their characters at least since the 90s. All the direct-to-video and subsequent appearances of Disney Princesses for example are all watered down stereotypes of their unique characters for the sake of marketability. Mickey Mouse and Friends are only a bit luckier because they're still getting new adaptations that do fun and interesting things with them.

I love that immediately after this video released, the new Takara Transformers crossover with Godzilla was announced, and it's all crappy recolors of figures that don't even make sense to be repainted as Godzilla characters, with no accessories or play features, and logos in the toy to remind you who they're supposed to be😂
