So cool, thanks for filming and uploading this. Good way to show plants have life to them. How did you make this timelapse? You mentioned it's all individual PNG images? How many images is that you had to stitch?! What was the file size of the folder after 25 days of shooting?

I think for this one it was one frame every 2 minutes, so that works out to 25 * 24 * 30 = 18000 frames in total. It was quite a bit on disk, but I don't remember exactly how much.

So glad I found this, I have no idea what to do with my paper whites now they have wilted. When I got them from Walmart, the bulbs were in a water vase. the roots are melting and of the leaves are still good. Question is, after they finish blooming, what do you do with the bulbs? My first time having Paper Whites. Can I cut the old roots off, along with the leaves and plant in soil?

My understanding is that paperwhites which have been forced to bloom in water will not bloom again. However, you have nothing to lose by allowing the foliage to dry out (it happens naturally over the 6-8 weeks after the bloom is done) and planting them in soil. It's unlikely they'll bloom again next year, but maybe the year after that. I think they like to be kept a bit on the drier side over the summer. Best of luck!

My paperwhite plant is done blooming and it is turning brown what should I do

You have to wait until the foliage has naturally died down completely (takes about 6 weeks or more), at which point your bulbs have gone dormant and can rest until next year. They don't really need water while they're dormant, but you shouldn't let them dry out to nothing.

When did you water them?
@AdrianScoica3 жыл бұрын
I think this particular time lapse recorded one frame every two minutes. So I would wait for the light on the camera to go off to make sure I wasn't interfering and water in between frames.

Blame the solar system :P :-). I did not accelerate the time lapse at night. I guess I could have, but I wanted it to be as realistic as possible...
