But with the videos i watched, the video games I played, the lessons I absorbed and the universe we live in now, i want to hold onto my body and mind as long as I can. I am not only ready to change my circumstances but human psychology and advancement as we know it. my first ever videogame was Halo:CE and i still play other halo games including CE, and just like the ending of Halo:CE "No, i think we're just getting started" edit: for anyone who doe- ...this part of the video explains everything 6:29 all until 9:24. "Die"? No - became stronger, yes. You carry the teachings of Kreia within you, friend. Her words echo inside you, through your words and actions. Every lesson she has conveyed has been made clearer thanks to you, at least for many of us. There is little I can do, but to deeply thank your efforts and your time into making the Kreia Connundrum videos. They have been a series of videos which I have really enjoyed and have made me appreciate how truly marvelous Kreia's philosophy is, for her words trascend the universe of Star Wars, and reach the deepest parts of our soul. Once again, thank you Quinn, for everything. I wish you the best of luck in these times and hope that you will be stronger for it. And, as Kreia said: "Never doubt what you have become. Hey buddy, as someone who has also suffered from depression, low self esteem, contemplating suicide, pain, too much for only 24 years. Somehow, through some form of insanity I found a way to continue existing, a reason to go on and even happiness. I've gone from bitterly living because I felt the world wanted me dead and my pride wouldn't let me give up. I do believe that what doesnt kill you makes you stronger. But one thing, the best reason to me anyways, the one that stuck... was that I wanted to leave a legacy that someone ANYONE found worth defending. It keeps me going and has made me take to mentoring the next generation. These videos, the questions you pose, the people you have undoubtedly inspired to do... quite a number of things, from going into philosophy, debates, to keep existing in this difficult world, to never give up I their tasks to start a KZbin. You are a lot more amazing than you think. Hell you have inspired me to write a whole damn book on a 4 month old video. Point being. It's okay to set expectations high. But as my number one hero my father would say; sometimes it helps to look back and see how far you've come, how much you've accomplished rather than to dread what is left to do." True Power is, allowing to transform, your own darkness, in power. I have lived a hard life due too a disability that forces me in a wheelchair. I have always seen all my struggles as the darker side of myself, a side to draw power from. I've seen myself as having had the fortune of appreciating life's true value, by having less at the start. I have failed sometimes, faced away from my fears, and that has only led to immense regret. But I realized a fundemental truth, about myself. Thanks to all that has befallen me, i have gained an insight that "Normal" people dont have. The darkness in my heart is not damaging, it is a reminder of who I am, and all that I accomplished. It is the contrast, that allows me to see how actually blessed I am. Don't be afraid of darkness, use it to protect the lights in your life. Power is to shoulder someone, after they rise. Power is being content with little, and not to pretend anything. Power is to give yourself, completely to those who deserve it. I dont know why i commented this. But thank you. This channel about a videogame, is suprisingly thought provoking. Thanks again, and may you win your battles against your Shadows.

Unfortunately I’m often forced to isolation because people always end up turning their back on me. It’s something that always happens to me and it always leads me into a deep depression. Because I do so much for others, but when I’m struggling I’m left behind. Alas it does feel like this life is a test because of this I feel that isolation isn’t really a weakness. Because as I sit here alone I’m starting to realize that being around others has weakened me. I and many others rely on others for happiness, support, guidance, and power...instead of finding it in ourselves. I had to find the will to live in myself and not others and I’m stronger for it. Because of these videos you put out I’ve been able to find a new perspective in my own life So don’t give up, keep pushing, and you’ll continue to have my support
@bullseye52625 жыл бұрын
All for Sloth All for Sloth My answer to this might not be what you want to hear and it’s possible you might find a different or better answer, but I’ll tell you. I found happiness in myself after acknowledging the fact that in the pursuit of trying to free myself of loneliness that I’ve lost myself. Because as soon as I got what I wanted it was snatched away again and again and after being depressed about it, I got to thinking “was it worth it”? It turned out that it wasn’t. Just because you’re around friends doesn’t mean all your pain or loneliness will disappear. Just because you can give your all to someone you love doesn’t mean things will automatically change for the better. In losing it all, I found my own strength because if you can find the will to stand alone you’ll start to realize that being around others actually has its cons along with its pros. Being away from people allows you to be free from their problems (emotional, physical, financial, etc.), free from their drama, and most importantly it allows you to have the time to find what you want for yourself and not what people want from you. You want to do things? Do them yourself. You want friendship? Be your own friend. Do you want love? Love yourself first because when you desire something so much you’ll actually end up putting power over your life in the hands of another...literally letting someone else other than you decide your worth as a person. That’s unhealthy for you and you’ll become needy on the desire of being “needed” by others. Which will have people leave you behind as well. I’m not going to lie to you it’ll take time, hell I’d rather not be alone but it’s better to stand alone than stand among “friends” who’ll consider you less than nothing or as a tool to get things they want from you. The hardest thing to do is let go and you will feel angry, you will feel sad, you will want to reach out to those who left you behind, but hold on to your pride and start doing what makes you happy and better yourself. As you do that you’ll find pride in your solitude and in the fact that others will depend on others, you can do it all of with your will and with your own two hands.

Life will always have its set of challenges. And in a way I think Kreia's teachings hold just as much positive values as they do a lethal dose about the reality of your actions and consequences. I wish you the best of luck in finding a job dude. But the most important bit of advice I think anyone can give is to never give up and pursue your dreams of attaining Force Lightning... Just me? Anyone? Hello is this thing on? Anyway, the point is as Kreia always says, take your struggles head on and work to find a solution so that you may be stronger, smarter and sexier because of it.
@PapitoQinn5 жыл бұрын
Man if I come out the end sexier? That in of itself is a strength. Coupled with an Instagram account, there's no telling how far I can go then.
@EmmaCross945 жыл бұрын
It's interesting you make a video about this only a few days after I discovered I disagree with Kreia on one thing... Her idea that tests strengthen us. Imagine you're a professional fighter. Does the fight itself strengthen you? No, it's the training you go through between fights. The fight shows you who you are, how strong you are. Kreia does mention something similar to this, but ends up placing too much importance on the test. Tests show us who we are, it's from then on that we decide whether we are going to give up or if we are going to get stronger to pass the test next time. To be more accurate, it's the fear of failing the test that strengthens us, not the test itself. And isolation can be essential for training, as it eliminates distractions. Also your line about hard work made me think of Hachiman (from Oregairu), who said something along the lines of that "hard work isn't necessarily what guarantees success, as there are plenty of people who work themselves to the bone but fail anyway". Success is a product of a certain kind of mindset, in my opinion. Confidence goes much further than most people think. It's probably better to think of bad experiences as learning opportunities, not failure. If you think about that enough, you'll notice that in reality, losses are much more valuable than victories, because you can learn more from them. Best of luck to you man, I enjoy your content. FYI I clicked on this before PewDiePie's video ;)
@PapitoQinn5 жыл бұрын
I get what you're saying. But it's only with the test that you see if you really have what it takes. And like you said at the end, you learn a lot from failure. So if you lose the fight, you'll learn a lot. The training itself consists of tests. Both the training and the fight makes you stronger. Isolation isn't essential, but solitude is. Think about it, there's a difference between the two. I think having fear of failing is a weakness. But actually facing the test, even if you fail, can help you shed that fear, and in effect make you stronger. But that's just me. You're right that hard work alone doesn't automatically translate into success. It's about a lot of factors, and ultimately there's also pretty hefty element of luck involved.

@@PapitoQinn Yeah you got it, I think we're pretty much on the same page. Words are hard haha
@beskamir59775 жыл бұрын
Sometimes difficulty and hardship ends up weakening you rather than strengthening you. Much like poison, illness, radiation, etc are all capable of permanently weakening you even if you manage to survive, so too can adversary drain you. This is rather well explored in games where if you waste all your resources on one conflict you will not be prepared for the next one. I've actually been feeling rather similar lately as well. While I'm financially okayish (at least for the moment) I'm at a loss as to what to do once I graduate university next year and have recently been just letting life go by without really caring much, sort of like the song you mentioned described. In a way I feel as if I've drained myself in the past year and no longer care about things as much as I used to. I think I need a central passion with which I could then motivate myself to achieve it. There's a lot that I can see myself doing or that I'd like to do but none of those are powerful enough motivators to overcome the difficulties involved with getting them completed. Many of your Kreia's conundrums videos have been keeping me sane while I've been at a loss of desires and after finally playing The Talos Principle, (finished it 2 days ago despite having owned it for at least 2 years) I might finally be able to get myself to do something other than just watching my life slowly ebb away while I do the bare minimum to maintain a day to day existence. Also the Revan novel and swtor contradict Kreia's comment saying Revan having never met a Sith Empire :(
@PapitoQinn5 жыл бұрын
They do? Well that sucks. That negates the entire premise that Sith teachings had to have come from something. I have the Talos Principle too and I've yet to play it. I hear it's quite something. I'm not all that great with puzzles though. My brother's always been good at those. By the way you're right about what you first said. That's kinda what I was getting at in Kreia's Conundrums - Help. Although I suppose strength can come from achieving your goal despite previously being weakened by a past event. You hear a lot of stories about severely disabled people still persevering and doing extraordinary things. I have a lot of respect for people like that. Try and take her easy man, one day at a time. I'm glad I was able to help.

Adapt and Adjust. Thus, heavy ads shall it be. Followed you on Twitch. I actually have a story of a struggle. I was a third year student, it was the end of academic year. In Ukraine it is obligatory to check lungs once every year. I am talking about Photofluorography. So I went to a hospital, made a Photofluorography and they diagnosed me with tuberculosis. Fun times, goodbye Alma Mater. Later it was found out that I had the resilient type of tuberculosis, and only limited amount of drugs could fight it. In my county we have US funded program (Its called USAID) to fight tuberculosis so my medication and my hospitalization was for free (Imagine my positivity. Spoiler alert, it was still non-existent). So here I am, 18 years old, forced to be in a hospital, to take an academic brake. My plans for life are ruined, and according to doctors, I might need my lung to be surgically removed, because even those drugs might just fail. Oh, and a cherry on top - my girlfriend abandons me with no real explanation. But I have a guess what was the reason, and I think you are also. The food was shit, toilets were shit and those drugs, including a shot in the butt once every day was also shit. I had to take 5 different types of strong drugs 3 times a day. And, fuck, my, life, they were shit. I felt like shit after taking them. We all were placed in a hospital wards, each one housing 6 people. So you can imagine the living standards. Shit. It was shit. A few weeks later I found out that I might not survive this medication, because we had to move dead patients to a morgue every day. Most of them died not of tuberculosis, but because their bodies couldn't tolerate drugs. Kidney failure, liver failure, heart failure, you name it. Some even went full on def. They were hearing stuff ok, and then all of a sudden, because of meds, they are fucking def. Well thats fucking ensuring. Ah, you probably asking why we had to transport our dead fellows and not male nurses. The thing is, there were non. All nurses ware female so they asked us to do it. And oh boy are dead people weight a ton. We also transported incapable to walk, you know, to take their monthly analysis and whatnot. We also done some minor work at the hospital, like caring sand bags to construction site (they were repairing an old shower room), or moving some stuff to the basement. And you know what, we were not forced to do it, we did it because it was THAT FUCKING BORING. After one or two months I started to know people, surprisingly, most of them were good (in their own kind a way. So it was fucking sad to transport their dead bodies to the morgue). At that time I also learned to not give a shit, about them, about me. So my two month depression was gone. I guess my hardships made me stronger, so I adapted, made peace with my shitty situation. (hello Kreia). From that moment on, this fucking hospital was my Home, not my purgatory. I made myself stronger whether I wanted it or not. One whole year past in that fucked, twisted, shithole I called Home. It was the time to take MRT (magnetic resonance tomography) to find out if those meds were any good. And you know what. They worked. They worked so good, I actually was not put to operation to remove my infected lung. Or was it through my new enormous willpower I got cured? Anyway, I was put on ambulatory treatment. The nightmare, the hell on earth was over. And I emerged from those hellish flames strong as a fucking titanium alloy. Now I realize how WEAK I was before, in every aspect of my personality. I mean I was fucking crying every night for weeks while in hospital, this is how much a pathetic human I was. Now? Now you can throw any shit at me and Im going to tear it apart like it is nothing. So fight my friend, fight and be stronger for your victory. All it takes is a little bit of willpower. And with time, your "little bit of willpower" will transform in SUPERHUMAN amount of willpower. You will become an ubermensch. You will not solve your problems from that moment on, you will CRUSH them like a fucking BATTERING RAM. That's what I do with my "problems". I dont even call them that anymore. They are not deserve to be called like that. They are a temporary setbacks on a path to victory.

Holy shit, dude. That is one hell of a story. Thanks for sharing. There's a lot of fucked up shit that happens in the world, including what happened to you and often time I say: "it shouldn't be the case. What happened to you shouldn't have happened in a society. But it did, and while they always break you, you put yourself back together stronger than before. But as you saw, it isn't always the case. Death makes all that impossible. I am sorry that you had to go through that. But I'm glad it didn't destroy you.

KOTOR 2 is no mere video game. This particular game is specially designed for one with an introspective mind. One must set aside a few hours at a time to listen to a humanities lecture and or have a meditation session. As for meditation I found out a lot about myself when meeting Atris for the first time. This game can unlock one's memories to see how one's behavior came about. This is is going to be a very long game to play. Kreia is an interesting mentor to meet during the Hero's Journey. Kreia is a fictional character, yet can challenge one's mind and one's place in the world. Be safe and God be with you.

kreia's view and wisdom towards gaining strength and letting peoples fighting their own fight is very conflicting for me, i agree the whole part where she says "we must fight our own fight, for there we will find strength from the many failures we've endured" (i am paraphrasing) it is a natural thing for us humans nay a sentient to learn from our mistakes and misfortune but what really itch me really hard is, the struggling or fighting all alone, no help whatsoever and as a social being it kind of defeated some purpose of what makes us, us. and yes we must be independent on our own to keep fighting our own fights, struggles, misfortune, and gaining strength. but one way or another we will need someone to progress, to gain more strength if you could say that but what makes it more fuckin conflicting to me is when do we help one eachother so we could grow? and when do we need to let them suffer so they can grow themselves? we're not omniscient, we can't see what's going to happen to that person, we don't know if he/she will grow, stay the same, or worst, gotten weak
@PapitoQinn5 жыл бұрын
You're right, we're not omniscient. We can't know. We also can't avoid it. We can only think things through and do the best we can. It isn't always easy. But maybe it shouldn't be. Making the decision itself can be a learning experience.

@@PapitoQinn kreia's teachings by its foundation is very great and should be spread but sometimes it can hurt our very core beliefs and our individual idealism and it hurts really bad, but it shows how (in my opinion) kreia as a character is one of the perfectly well written characters in the star wars universe

4:35 And dicover why french aren't so happy about uberisation XD. You will realize soon that working on this kind of plateform is like being employed without the benefit of being employed. You Will really start to udnerstand why people are ready to kill to impose their vision of how the world should be. Or at least go in the street by winter summer and rain.

The world keeps shifting. Technology keeps advancing and thus society and culture shifts with it. Which means the political landscape needs to adapt with it, and doesn't always happen on it's own. So the people have to demand it, sometimes too much in order to see any progress, and by the time progress is made, more shifts have already occurred.

Just a quick comment; I think you need purpose. You haven't found it yet, and are thus driven to look for meaning in games - but these are ultimately distractions only. Sure, KoTOR tells an amazing story, and there are valuable lessons in here, but these are all philosophies that you can find outside these games. Avellone basically created space Nietzsche with Kreia, the idea of the Force is buddistic in nature, etc. Do not let melancholy take hold of your life, it's too common for intelligent introverts to lock themselves up in a room, being just with their own thoughts and lamenting the world that does not understand them. Get out there and work on yourself, your development, and look for people with similar interests as you. They are out there, and even if finding them might be hard, it is infinitely more easier now than it was in the past. In short, get out there and find, or make, your purpose in life.

Rousseau though that reliance was a danger for freedom, yet human being born unable to walk and feed themself they don't even have teeth, this a result of the female hips going thiner when our ancestors have gone bipedal. Our baby are reliant on us, and thus force our species to heavly rely on cooperation. You will see capitalisme is a bitch to technical progress, like feudalism use to be (read lavoisier before the French revolution), but a world where we could dedicate more time to art politic and philosophy is about to come, thank to technical progress. You can try to run away from this society and the way it is organized, but one day you will have to confront it and submit or come with friend to submit it. The only questions that remain are : "Is reorganisation possible right now or do we need to seize power first? Is seizing political power possible right now without seizing economicla power without reorganizing society on a small scale first?"
@PapitoQinn5 жыл бұрын
It's easier then ever now express yourself artistically, politically, and/or philosophically, and actually have people see it. You're right about that. And everybody, even Kreia, was at one point completely dependent on someone else for our survival. And then after a while we're not. Some people run away from society and become hermits, living off the land. Most of us see the benefits of society as worth it, even though there are downsides, mind you. Can we change those we've put in charge to take care of the things that society needs to keep running? I don't know. But if not, then that's when people are supposed to replace them. Reorganization of a society, even on a small scale, can be a herculean task. Because you're essentially trying to change the mindset of the people to make up that society, and although it depends on what you're changing their minds about, it can be very difficult.
