I had a romantical crush on Mad Mew Mew and now Martlet. For Mad Mew Mew? She was designed in September 2018 (or if you count the Mew Mew character from the fake anime, September 2015) but got to know her in July 2021. So taking 34 (or 70) months to develop feelings for Mew Mew, compare that to taking 83 months for Martlet.

Just to let you know, the deer person you talked to at the start was hinting at giving them hot coffee, in reality, there was multiple NPCs in this area asking for stuff all as a part of a trading side quest, you get a pretty good item for this point in this game for doing it.

Spoilers for game of thrones Martlet is sans and papyrus. She's genocides final boss... But me calling her sans should've clued you in on that. She injects herself with dt... it was... horrifying seeing her death... she was screaming out in pain as she melted... she was tasked with protecting alphys... alphys went to hide the cameras and martlet... snuck into the true lab and stole an injection... which she uses at the start... then she melts and screams in pain... that's the only thing that made me regret genocide... also her insanely hard fight... she's harder than sans. But my regret went away when i killed flowey. Then lasered a hole through the throne room. And killing asgore...

Fun fact! Martlet's character was designed 7 years ago when Yellow started development. Deltarune ch. 1 came out 2018, so she predates Berdly by a year or two at /least/, their designs being similar is a total coincidence. 😆 Monster Kid, Noelle (via the Undertale alarm clock dialog), the eg Temmie, Bratty and Catty, and everyone else are already born in Undertale, even if we don't see Noelle in-game. Yellow is really close to Undertale's time too, so my headcanon is Martlet would probably be Berdly's aunt.

Being honest, Martlet is more like Papyrus mixed with Undyne mixed with Bird. To be honest not a lot of Avian characters in video games are done well - for some reason most people just instinctively designs Avian characters to be, no pun intended, cocky. Martlet and Tulin are good examples of Avian characters done right.

Something I realized with martlet is her feather attack has two lines on the target to indicate what direction it’s going which means you don’t even need to look at the feathers to know where it is coming from.

Merg if you give hot coffee to that one lazy npc they give you a mitten then go to the npc that has one mitten and give them the other mitten then they give you a map go to that one couple and then you back to the lazy npc and the coffee will be a little cooler then you go to the npc that is stuck to the pole and give them that and you get a silver scarf

I love this game a lot but I have an issue with the fact we don't spend enough time with any of the main characters, making them very forgettable in my opionon... One of the reasons Toby's characters are so Iconic is because were constantly interacting and learning their quirks and talking to them... we dont really do that with any of these characters....
