This is my favorite parable. He is essentially saying that God's love is beyond justice. His love is one of grace. He doesn't diminish justice in any way; he exemplifies it by telling us to forgive people and help them to get to heaven which is TRUE justice because we were created for heaven and eternal life.

I was an atheist for 10 years of my life. Depression, anxiety and panic attacks were a part of my daily routine. I was suicidal during my teenage years and had no friends at school. I started using medication when I was 15 and only stopped at 19. Eventually, my body got sick and I developed some diseases from all the chemicals on it. Now, at 23, my life is completely changed due to how Jesus Christ, my King and my God, transformed me. This parable speaks to me in a way that no other book or human being does, as does Jesus himself. I’m no longer depressed, shy or ill. Everyday is a blessing and I cannot fathom killing myself anymore. All the glory be to Him, who is gentle and humble in heart, and extremely patient with a stupid man like myself.

This scene is perhaps the most brilliant depiction of Jesus ever done in any art form in human history. I was stunned when I first saw it and am still stunned by it now. It takes the parables, which are presented rather dryly in the Gospels and gives them flesh, context, greater meaning and feeling. It suggests that Jesus told these stories to fit particular situations. It gives us a vivid portrait of what it might have been like and why he was so compelling to be with. The other scene that struck me,, among many, was after the early raising of Jairus' daughter. The crowd is stunned and they gather around him in complete stillness, listening. And as he speaks the Divine emanation from him makes them realize that God is not abstract. some ritualistic prayer. It (He) is *here-now* right in front of them, pouring through Jesus. You could feel it watching it. Jesus of Nazareth was an enormous breakthrough achievement of modernism brought to Jesus life. You could feel it, especially in the political turmoil. The Chosen is a child of this modernism and in its own way is quite remarkable. But I have to say for all of its power, and there are many great scenes, it has never reached this height. Maybe the healing by the pool, which was awesome.

Jesus came to heal the "brokenhearted". Jesus healed me of a "Broken-Heart" with one tangible touch of His Power in 1995 in a divine visitation after reading His Word and seeking Him for 18 months in my house, in my own time. "The Lord is near to them that are of a broken heart; and saves such as be of a contrite spirit." (Psalm 34:18). "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3). He will do the same for you Friend.

I feel this parable depicts the love of our heavenly father.. No matter how sinful we as sons and daughters are until we realise what have we done wrong when famine can depict betrayal, lost everything you loved and had, selfishness, ego, hatred, violence etc. and try to correct them.. Father will keep his arms open for us and expecting our return from evil... This kind of love is something beyond anything.. This kind of realization so necessary in this current generation right now... Guy you still have got time.. Don't lose faith in the father and be ashamed if father will call you back or not... Understanding what did you gain by doing evil and comparing with what you had before turning to evil is important.. God bless us all..

so beautiful. 2 who formerly were at enmity were reconciled and made to be brothers by the One Who called them both to brotherhood

This analogy of Jesus Christ tells how great God always love us in respective of our disobedience. God want us to always repent from our sin so that he will embrace us .

The paragon of all parables! Luke 15 wrecks me because it teaches that God the Father is reckless in his love. All three parables in Luke 15 illustrate one main point; namely, that there is much rejoicing in heaven when that which belongs to God was lost and became found because of the reckless love of God.

CAN YOU IMAGINE BEING IN THE PRESENCE OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD (LORD JESUS CHRIST) LIKE THAT, WHEN HE IS TEACHING SUCH A PROFOUND LESSON AND LOOKING AT YOU!! THE PEOPLE WHO WERE ALIVE DURING THE TIME OF CHRIST HERE ON EARTH WERE SO BLESSED BEYOND COMPREHENSION!!

To realize God is not just loving but pure holy love. Love personified and jesus is a picture of that LOVE. Adopted love and Holy Spirit is the adoption agent whereby we cry ABBA Father. ABBA a term of respect in the middle east but conveys intimacy and warmth and One being bigger than us. Like when a stray kitten finds a loving home. Our former master hates and abuses us. But our Heavenly Father wants us all to himself to show us his love and kindness and compassion and grace.
