The Israelites did have rules about when and when they couldn't have sex. The Apostle Paul said to be gentle to women as they are the weaker vessel. So husbands must follow that.
@greatminds10172 жыл бұрын
Where in the Bible do you find that?? Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing[a] her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church- 30 for we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”[b] 32 This is a profound mystery-but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband." Both husband and wife should respect and love each other. As a matter of fact during her period, couples were forbidden from having sex... and rape would have been punished...

I am very shocked too that Lillith was not mentioned. She's still apart of our own history. She was in fact mentioned. But only as "a Lillith" earlier in the bible, which was a creature that was not to be messed with, an evil force. Later on, we learned more of Lillith in the dead sea scrolls. And yes, if you read the story on Lillith, she is blamed for women dying in childbirth and for miscarriages, as well as the death of newborns. This is because she refused to lay beneath Adam. She was not subservient to him. This made God angry, Adam angry and so Angel's were sent after her. They told her to return and she refused. Her punishment? All of her children will continue to die. So as revenge, she vowed to kill descendants of Adam, ergo us. That is why some women where angel callers while they're pregnant, I did. It is apart of our faith. Though she may not be specifically mentioned as an individual, you will see her mentioned as a succubus. A woman to avoid. A negative energy, or the mother of demons. Whatever your interpretation is.

Thank you sooo much for this! Women, children, and non-binary individuals are the walking truth of Gods love. I believe in God but I don’t follow the Bible anymore. I use it as a guide to go against centuries of believes that have destroyed the reputation of women. What kind of God would want to shame a group since the beginning of time? As an ex follower of the Christian faith (10yr+s), I’ve studied all religions to understand that all these laws and books were 76% written by men. A bit off topic here but I can see America falling apart before letting a woman take over due to the amount of rich individuals who are “Christian” and been in power controlling a nation(s). I pray to God that all men can see this issue and finally remove the stereotypes of how women “can’t lead a country”. Because women can’t do this alone. One of the biggest issues I notice as I was leaving the church was the fact that God and the Devil were always referred as He. If God is almighty and powerful, why would They limit themselves by having a gender label? Makes zero sense. If Christians claim people are an image of God, why stone a woman for speaking up? If Jesus came as a woman, no one would listen due to the amount of men who’ve been in power in society. They would still kill Jesus and probably label them as a sorcerer/witch. Notice how there isn’t much history written on women prophets? Lol I can go on like crazy on this topic. May justice be served and free us from this man world. Jesus was a Jew that came to reform the Jewish faith. Buddha was an ex Hindu that came to reform that religion. All religions from the past are rewritten to match that times present society. Hope more eyes can open up and shake this earth of inequality and finally bring peace amongst all groups.

And yes, what she did may have been seen as notorious from the point of view of the religious elders in Nazareth.
@Ashmo6133 жыл бұрын
I have a problem with this notorious list and its understanding of how women are depicted in the Bible. How is Esther notorious? At least in Jewish tradition, she is lauded as a heroine who did what she had to do to prevent the extermination of her people. Eve isn't considered any more at fault than Adam, with him actually being more culpable because he got the direct command whereas she had only heard it from him. It is considered audacity on his part to wimp out and blame her and G-d for giving her to him. Bathsheba may or may not have had much of a choice as she was called in to the King, and kings in those days could usually not be challenged. Traditional Jewish interpretations (not just modern or feminist ones) hold the men in these situations just as if not more culpable than the women in every case. Also, in terms of notorious, they went with the questionably "notorious",many of whom are considered as normally righteous women who just made mistakes, as all humans do. There are also far more examples of righteous women and heroines in the Bible, most of whom either defied men or guided them in order to do what was right or make sure the right thing was done: Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, Leah, Miriam, Tzipporah, Yocheved, Yael, Deborah, Hannah, Ruth, Naomi, Abigail, Huldah, etc. The first of each month is a sort of women's only holiday for traditional Jewish women because the women didn't join in with worshipping the golden calf (while the men did). The way that all Jews are supposed to pray is derived from the prayer of Hannah. Judaism pretty much started with G-d telling Abraham to listen to his wife.

In todays world woman are as well educated as men, in Britain, we are in the majority, and yet there is a group of Bible teachers on YT who consider that a women speaking in church would be a crime against Christianity. Actually Paul went from this early writing: “There is neither male nor female, bond or free, all are one in Christ Jesus” to “I suffer not that women exercise authority over a man.” And “Women should be silent in the churches and if she is to learn anything, let her husband teach her at home”. We hear about abrogation in Islam, what about abrogation in Paul’s writing. If you look at these the latter writings of Paul, he really is harsh on women. But in those days, most many have spoken at least 2 languages, some spoke more, but in a synagogue it would be Greek, Aramaic and Hebrew and if you lived where these were not spoken, a wife might want to ask “what does that mean (in my language)? Yes, if everyone is doing this, who could hear, but this is culturally as Paul goes on about women not teaching, when teaching has to do with reading from the scripture and women were kept illiterate, makes sense, but not today and it was not fair then, to take the right to speak away from women who are usually the majority part of the congregation, who except for the pastor, are the reason everything except preaching, continues for the most part. If women got disgusted and walked out and did not return, many churches could not keep their doors open. The way my husband went to church was when I insisted he come also to set a good example to the children. Believe me, I was not the only one. Moreover women also can have good paying jobs and if the dedicated serious Christian woman gets offended by all of this to the point of leaving the church, all that tithe walks out the door too. We are now “birthing persons” so I guess that Christian men feel it is now safe to attack women. However, of the people I’ve met in churches, women are often more insightful and to silence this wisdom is a loss to everyone. My husband’s eye surgeon the very best who works for the VA Hospital in Fresno, CA was female. Perhaps we need to be forced out to make room for the transgenders?

The whole king James version of the bible was written in a manner that depicts women as either disobedient or wicked and men as the obedient ones that were easily lead astray by the women in their lives, but than what does that say about men if they are easily lead into doing wrong because of a woman? And the idea that God made a woman out of the rib of a man kind of doesn't make sense as it contradicts that God made males and females on the same day; it also rarely talks about men doing anything wrong when you read all over the bible where men were doing all kinds of wrong. So this depiction of men being law givers may be wrong as well and if only men made laws than why does it lightly touch on the women who were also law givers. I believe this was done as a way for men to tell women what to do not that it is an accurate depiction of what was really going on in those days.

It must also be considered who wrote the bible, a collection of mens writings, which will contain the bias of the writers and how they both see and wish the world to be. It's just expected to be taken as the word of god, and ignore the possible bias of being told to you by a third party. In fact woman in the broad sense are seen as the very bond that holds the family household together and one who teaches their children to love and, how to love. Woman who are mothers are the strenght of any family. Now this is dependent on whether or not the woman is stable minded without being mentally unstable or emotionally challenged and, has a broad range of common since. The point of Adam & Eve's story that I think many people tend to purposely forget is that yes, they DID SIN AGAINST GOD, however, God made a promise to them that from their line, would come THE ONE Who would crush the head of the serpent. And that Promise HAS BEEN FULFILLED in Jesus Christ.

As for Bathsheba playing the politics of the royal court, NATHAN approached Bathsheba to fill her in on Adonijah's plot to take over as King. She then told David what was going on, and Nathan came in to confirm her report. David then asked them to send for the priest, Zadok, to anoint Solomon to be the rightful king of Israel. And everything happened as The LORD and David willed.

I always understood the fruit as being the consequences of the new knowledge of good and evil. And the evil done was the disobedience 'cause God had said not to partake from that tree but they may eat of every other tree. The rest of my understanding of that whole scene is that Eve added and subtracted laws at will in her discussion with the serpent... Well it's pretty much turns the word of God into a lie when you don't adhere to it as it was told to you. Things get distorted from there on for them.

1. God only says to the man not to eat from the fruit of the tree ( not to the woman) 2. The serpent says this to the woman: God did not say that you would die ( did she perhaps eat from the good, not from the evil fruit?) 3. The man then eats ( did he eat from the evil fruit?) 4. God says to the man Adam that he would return to the ground (Adamah), become dust again 5. God says to the serpent to be at the lowest of the ground, and eat from dust (= man, mankind). Hate between serpent and woman, and their offspring 6. To the woman God says: childbearing and birthpains. 7. Only then, for the first time in Genesis 3.20, is Adam calling (recognizing) the woman as Eve ( Chavah or Hava in Hebrew = breath , life). Perhaps, the original Hebrew should be understood as Adam = mankind and Hava (Eve ) as life. Our translations and carnal interpretations have lead us astray from the real spiritual meaning. Interesting: ‘woman’ is taken out of the side of ‘man’. On the cross, in the final hour, Jesus is pierced in the side, to give birth ( water and blood are coming from his side). The birth of the Christ Generation, the 42nd after the 41 Adamic generations after Abraham. It is getting even more fascinating that in the end of the Book of Revelation, the groom ( Jesus) and the bride ( us, the body of Christ) are reunited. 🙏

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God(righteousness) created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish(fill up again) the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 1:27-28". Humanity was created in the image of God(righteous). Our image- like God, Elohim- little gods/judges(1 corinthians 6:2-3). "Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman(satan possessed an animal & it spoke/miracle), Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?(engaging into conversation), And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die(adding lies 'touch it'). And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die(1st lie an immortal soul): For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods(2nd lie human deity), knowing good and evil(3rd lie able to choose for oneself). And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked(righteous robe of light disappears); and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. Genesis 3:1-7". The fruit is not the emphasis, what is important is obedience/righteousness(doing right). Therefore Romans 6 vs 16 him you listen/obey him also you worship. Sin is breaking the law. By obeying satan then you choose to worship satan instead of God. And because you have sinned, hence you become a slave of satan(author of sin). Therefore the descendants of Adam & Eve are now born defeated mentally. Here is the structure of the temptations(sins). 1. Sin of appetite/ materialistic values/ assuming a higher position that you were not given( usurpation/rebellion). 2. Sin of presumption( knowing that what you doing is wrong, & still do it). 3. Sin of worship (the one you listen to is the one you obey). This is the same structure of the 3 temptations of Jesus. And also the same structure Lucifer used to tempt 1/3 of the angels. The same structure how sin comes to all humanity. And Jesus sets an example His response is, "it is written". The 1st stage is the miracle and the serpent accepting to be used as a medium(satan coming in disguise). The 2nd stage is being mesmerised by the miracle and hence entertaining conversation. The 3rd stage Jesus explains, by beholding you become changed. The sin of Eve was to assume a position which she had not been given initially. Obeying Lucifer and sinning whilst knowing. "For the creation was subjected to frustration and futility, not willingly [because of some intentional fault on its part], but by the will of Him(Adam) who subjected it, in hope Romans 8:20". "and it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman who was led astray and fell into sin. 1 Timothy 2:14". Adam knew that Eve had sinned, he ate the fruit knowing that if he sinned then rescue(salvation) would come to Eve and his children. They were told to stay together. The woman longed freedom(greater autonomy), Adam allowed Eve to wander by herself. Satan knew he could not defeat Adam on personal confrontation, but by his weakness(love). So united we strong & divided we fall. The aim was to separate this 1st couple and to manipulate on Adam's weakness(love). This same example is replayed with Abraham & Isaac. And also The Godhead. " John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son". This is what Adam failed, but what Abraham overcame. "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Philippians 2:5-6". This what Eve failed but Isaac and Jesus overcame. The main theme is not gender nor position in society. Daniel, Ezekiel & some of the leading characters were made eunuchs & enslaved. It's about obedience. There are 2 powers rivaling for the position of God. Genesis 3:15. You can only be in one camp of the 2. You cannot choose to be in neither camps. Your choice is the determinant of which camp you fall into. This is the manner that we should understand all biblical stories. Samson is filled with The Holy Spirit from the womb. He is not to be compared with normal humanity. He is a comparison of John the Baptist. An exalted royal prince & host of heaven. The emphasis is the battle of the mind, as depicted with Cain and Abel. Creation vs evolution. Choice vs chance. Obedience vs rebellion. "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! Isaiah 14:12". Lucifer split the government of heaven apart(sin). Therefore it's best to 1st understand the reason of this 1st rebellion, rather than dwelling on the consequences of this rebellion(sin). From the perspective of humanity it's best to understand calvary in this manner. It was not for gender differences now already under a defeated mind(a perverted perspective), nor humanities materialistic needs(under the dominion of satan/ defeated human reasoning). But rather for yours and mine own citizenship of planet earth. After Adam's fall Lucifer is now the legal representative of planet earth(story of Job). That's why a human representative must come on behalf of Adam(a 2nd Adam/Jesus) to break the chains of captivity. By being born in the human family(brother) and also be able to legally represent all humanity as their Father(The root & offspring of David). Planet earth has become a prison & needs isolation due to the plague of sin(death). Humanity are the prisoners(sinners/death). And Lucifer is the evil prison guard. If you're born in the family of Adam & Eve, you're born with this disease of sin(death). Then you can't free yourself with your defeated mind. Therefore you need a deliverer/ Messiah/ your kin, a lawyer who represents you. An independent individual from your case(Jesus). Just like humanity in it's original purpose was to be the independent jury service to the rebellion in heaven, and still is, and shall be. In the end male and female are equal to angels. God shows no partiality. In the martial formation of angels, Lucifer was the "exalted covering cherub", highest appointed position. Leader of the 4 generals(highest angels). The 1/3 of the angels that fell, it was not because of superior nor inferior position. But basically obedience(choosing to follow the constitution/law of God). Misrepresenting this original story is also an act of rebellion, which puts this mindset under the camp of satan.

In regards to samson, he was a faithful judge for 40 years, he was gods chosen to weaken the philistines army and he did on several occasions 1000s at a time. According to these people he is a womanizer having sex with prostitutes whenever he gets the chance based on based on one scripture "Once Samson went to Gaza and saw a prostitute woman there and came in to her.” (Judg. 16:1) Nothing in this record says that Samson’s purpose in going to Gaza was to see a prostitute. It says, while in the city, he recognized a woman of her class, and, since he was in enemy Philistine territory, her home was the only place he could find accommodations for the night..his intent was to have a place to sleep. Not to sleep with her. “Samson kept lying till midnight and then rose at midnight.” (Judg. 16:3) this scriptures does not say that he kept lying with her till midnight. Next was accusing him of being stupid and a narcissist when in reality the bible states he clearly verbally gave credit to god for all the things hed been able to accomplish. He wasnt fooled by delilah he gave into her because she kept on pressuring him "to the point of death" The makers are adjusting bible accounts and straight up making things up to fit their narrative. God told him, and Adam told Eve, Adam got the direct message from God. Even if he did try to stop her he still ate it. They are both in the wrong!

That instead of saying anything to her to stop it, he knowingly takes part in eating the fruit, in which they know and see EVERYTHING now, including the fact that they are naked and have to hide from God. Now they know death and sin, they know everything now, just like the serpent told Eve they would.. and Adam didn't stop her, he knowingly participated, which shows and tells me how much a man, (myself included) , could be easily enticed by his love for the gift of love and relationship with a woman, over the source of all love and creation, which would be God and the grace of Christ

It's the almond. The tree of life and also of knowledge of good and evil is the almond tree, which is represented in the seven branched Menorah.

Take a use case , Assumptions, Energy = Human = Man = dead. Energy = Humanity = women = life. It is always a pair to balance the ecosystem. Example = A child is contribution in ecosystem. (A gift of God) Abstract = keywords, energy or soul for beleivers, I respect both .

God says to Adam & Eve “The day you eat from the tree of knowledge of good & evil you will die” not “if you eat” but “the day you eat”. Adam & Eve were sent to the world to fix it but in the garden of Eden everything was perfect nothing needed fixing so Eve said to Adam “God wants us to eat from the tree” Adam replied “God knows what he is doing and he put us here so this is where he wants us” and Eve enlightened Adam “God put us here because he wants us to volunteer for this job”. So in my eye it’s Eve who saw what God really wanted and read in between the lines when he said “The day you eat from the tree” so it’s Eve who is the smart one convinced Adam it was what God really wanted them to do. And as a man I believe women are smarter than men and woman’s greatest trick is letting men believe they’re the smart ones. (I love history and religious history but I don’t believe in God. Also I believe women came before man also when an egg is first fertilised it is female and then later on a chemical/hormone reaction causes the zygote/foetus to become male)

Speaking of Lilith, Do you speak of Adam's first wife?, Jezebel was a dedicate woman to her Husband, Delilah ahh Delilah, a victim of listening to her fake friends, instead of the man she was with? Women are not the downfall of Man, Man is the downfall of Man, period, and what did Esther do? I think the problem is comprehension since no one listen to begin with, thus "wash, rinse, repeat" and where's the man's point of view?
@lolagunz2 жыл бұрын
Lilth isn't Adam's first wife, she is a screech owl, a demon. And Eve was more prone to be deceived than Adam. Even tho he was her husband, he was supposed to follow God and not follow his wife. And no Adam was smitten by his wife, a woman can be a man's downfall if he's not careful.

The Garden of Eden was not a physical place, it was a state of mind. Once Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of Knowledge (probably psychedelic mushrooms) they became self aware, eg ashamed of being naked, and then were no longer living in ignorance. 💥🙌💥
