The Roman guards stationed at the tomb after the crucifixion, at the request of Sanhedrin authorities, saw a blazing light early on the 3rd morning and then, that the great stone had been rolled away; when reporting these events to the Jewish authorities, they were bribed not to reveal what they saw . . . but they knew the truth. So, it was actually those Roman soldiers who were the 1st witnesses of the Resurrection. Thank you for uncovering this amazing evidence Simcha!

@@StephanieSoressi Agreed that Roman legionaries may have invoked Jesus among others for a variety of reasons. It was a polytheistic world. I think legionaries & slaves were like vectors, spreading the good news around the Roman world. Did you watch the Waldemar Januszczak (?) series about early Christian art? Amazing & wonderful. One quib: there is a lot of archaeological evidence that Roman legions' camp followers included food & drink sellers, cobblers, leatherworkers, smiths, farriers, importers and many other goods & service providers in addition to sex workers, wine, and drugs.

@@GildaLee27 Yes, I thought about including them but most craftsmen were part of the army, or licensed by it. But there was SO much variation, by year and region, commander and available resources. There are some pretty funny stories about that. He was given a vision and God said to him to accept the Romans who seeks His name. This documentaries only proves the truth of the Bible but if you people search for the truth about Christianity without reading and understanding the Bible, it is but theories and speculations based on your understanding. The Christianity that you may be referring to is Catholicism which is different from Christianity. For to us Christians, Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus never explicitly said the He is God but He implicitly said that He has the same authority as God as well as being equal to the Father. He even said that He and the Father is one. To search for the truth in Christianity, consult the Bible, the Word of God. For in Jesus alone will you find the truth.

Lots of conjecture here... these symbols could have been inscribed by a variety of people using the cave over a period of a few hundred years. The handshake reference is not verified. Is it possible? Yes. Is it likely? Now, that's a different question all together. The Sator Square, in my mind, is like a Rubik's Cube. You can manipulate the letters, by moving them up or down, or left or right a set number of times, to create a variety of other words and sentences. I think that is the secret to the Sator Square. Remember that Morse Code is a secret code made up solely out of dots and dashes, so the Sator Square could easily be a code grid for the Roman Army. If you manipulate the Sator Square's by a set number of moves, an entirely different series of words may come out. My questions would be; why are these Sator Square's only found around Roman Military Camp's and no where else? What is their significance to the Roman Military? If they are to do with Christian's, then why are there none in Jerusalem, or surrounding known Christian settlement's? They are only ever found near where the Roman Military camped. That said, none were found at Masada, where the 10th Legion were camped. Why? In conclusion, I don't think that the Sator Square has anything to do with the spreading of Christianity. As far as Procolo is concerned, is it a coincidence that you found a Sator Square at the home of a former Roman Soldier? Don't overlook the fact that he was a military man in the Roman Army, and then, bang, just like that, a Sator Square appears in his residence? That's a little coincidental. Again, the Square being connected to the Military, rather than Christianity. Considering that the Square is found in Roman Military Camps, or in the residences of those who were associated with the Military at some point, it is likely Military in application, like a secret code, a cipher, like the aforementioned Morse Code. You won't know what a message says, unless you have the key to decipher it, and the Sator Square may very well be that key... Hail Caesar.

Jews today are still waiting for their Messiah to come. They continually deny Christ as the Messiah, just as their ancestors did who crucified him, condemning him to death as a blasphemous heretic. His blood therefore is on their inherently guilty hands. The Roman magistrate and governor of Palestine at the time, Pontius Pilate, famously washed his hands of all responsibility of wrongdoing. And Jesus formally absolved him of any wrongdoing. The Romans didn't put Christ to death, the Jews did. This is why they have to deny him. Muslims have to acknowledge his existence for the simple reason that he did exist, but they deny him as the son of god also. To them, he was just a prophet of god. If anybody would have spread the word of Jesus and god, it would've most certainly been the Romans.
@lone.wolf_57913 жыл бұрын
@Prasanth Thomas it was 'done' by the Romans, that's correct. Because the Romans were the law, and the Jews were the jury. Christ's own people condemned him to death, all the Romans did was carry out the sentence. Pontius Pilate even offered the baying Jewish mob the life of the known rapist and murderer Barabbas, in exchange for the life of Jesus. But even Barabbas' numerous heinous crimes of rape and murder were not enough to deter the crowd from wanting Jesus dead. To them, this man calling himself the son of God deserved to die more. Being the Roman magistrate for the province of Judaea at that time, and knowing that not giving the mob what they wanted would cause unrest in the province and therefore he would lose favour with the Emperor, Tiberius, Pilate's hands were tied.. and so was the fate of Jesus. This is why today's Jews are stuck in the old testament and deny Christ as the Messiah. They're still waiting for the Messiah to come. He did come, two thousand years ago. But Jews denied him.
@lone.wolf_57913 жыл бұрын
@Prasanth Thomas It was common for bandits of the rebellion against Rome to rape as well as kill their victims. According to the gospel of Matthew, the baying crowd said "Let his blood be upon us and upon our children." Matthew 27:25 They wanted Jesus dead. Pilate reluctantly gave in to the crowd. And according to the gospels of Luke, John and Mark as well as Matthew, the crowd were indeed given the choice, and chose Christ to be crucified. The Roman's didn't condemn Christ, the Jews did. Indeed, Jesus was a threat to the Jews. They saw him as a heretic. A blasphemer. They would and could not accept him as their Messiah. They were expecting a prophet to come like Moses to fulfill their messianic prophecies, from the glory days of king David. They were mistaken. Your interpretation of the scriptures I feel is coming from a biased Jewish perspective. I would even hazard a guess you were in fact Jewish yourself, but I suppose we'll never really know for sure.
@lone.wolf_57913 жыл бұрын
@Prasanth Thomas correction-According to the Gospels, the Sanhedrin, an elite council of priestly and lay elders, arrested Jesus during the Jewish festival of Passover, deeply threatened by his teachings. They dragged him before Pilate to be tried for blasphemy-for claiming, they said, to be King of the Jews. the crowd which condemned Jesus to death were not the same people who laid palms at his feet and sang Hosanna, those were his followers. Christianity at that point was a small movement, nothing which would have caused ancient Rome any such insult or alarm as to want Christ dead. After his death, his followers grew as did the Christian movement and this is when they became a threat to the Roman Empire and its pagan beliefs, not while he was alive. His following was too small and had yet to grow to become a threat to Rome. You keep diverting from the fact that Jesus declared himself the king of the Jews, and it was exactly for this reason that his own people dragged him before Pilate to request his execution. They saw him as a blasphemer, a heretic. They wanted him to be crucified. As I have said from the very beginning, it was the Jews who condemned Christ to death. Pontius Pilate just happened to be the unfortunate magistrate of Judaea at the time, who had no choice but to order the sentence be carried out. This is why he washed his hands, he wanted no part in it.
@lone.wolf_57913 жыл бұрын
@Prasanth Thomas In the Gospel of Luke, after the Sanhedrin trial of Jesus, the Court elders ask Pontius Pilate to judge and condemn Jesus, accusing Jesus of making false claims of being a king. While questioning Jesus about the claim of being the King of the Jews Pilate realizes that Jesus is a Galilean and therefore under Herod's jurisdiction. Since Herod already happened to be in Jerusalem at that time, Pilate decides to send Jesus to Herod to be tried. Herod Antipas (the same man who had previously ordered the death of John the baptist and, according to some Pharisees, had plotted to have Jesus killed as well) had wanted to see Jesus for a long time, hoping to observe one of the miracles of Jesus. However, Jesus says nothing in response to Herod's questions, or the vehement accusations of the chief priests and the scribes. Pilate said- "I, having examined him before you, found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him: no, nor yet Herod: for he sent him back unto us; and behold, nothing worthy of death hath been done by him." Pilate didn't want Christ dead, the priests did. He even sent him to Herod as to not be burdened with the task himself. Christianity was in its infancy, it was embryonic. Christ was still alive and even though word was spreading of his teachings, it had still not gotten anywhere near as far as Rome. Christ was not Rome's enemy at the time of his arrest and subsequent crucifixion. He was the enemy of the hierarchy within his own people. Had they not been occupied by Rome, they would've still put Christ to death. But nobody could be tried or executed in Judaea, Galilee or Samaria without the say so of the local Roman Magistrate. THIS is why they had no choice but to take Jesus to Pilate. At every Passover festival the Roman governor could set free a prisoner chosen by the crowd. Pilate asked the crowd whether they wanted Barabbas or Jesus set free. The chief priest persuaded the crowd to ask Pilate to set Barabbas free and have Jesus put to death. They shouted for Pilate to crucify him. When Pilate saw that a riot might break out, he washed his hands in front of the crowd, and said, “I am not responsible for the death of this man!” The whole crowd answered, “Let the responsibility for his death fall on us and on our children!” Then Pilate set Barabbas free and handed Jesus over to be crucified. Jewish leaders managed to find Jesus guilty of a crime deserving the death sentence, they just needed to take him to the Roman Governor, Pontius Pilate. With Palestine an occupied country, only the Romans could put a person to death. This explains why Jesus had to have two trials. The Sanhedrin found Jesus guilty of the religious offence of blasphemy. This would be of no interest to the Romans, so the Jewish leaders had to change the charge against Jesus from claiming to be the Son of God to saying he is the King of the Jews. In doing so they are emphasising the political rather than religious implications of claiming to be the Messiah. The Romans would take action for a political offence, particularly something that posed a threat to Roman rule. Christ died because he was seen as a blasphemer and heretic by the priests of his own people, but they had to make the Roman's believe he was a political threat to them. The Jews killed Christ, not the Roman empire.
@lone.wolf_57913 жыл бұрын
@Prasanth Thomas you've not provided any biblical sources to attest to Pilate's wife's 'dream', proving that Pilate wanted Christ dead for his own reasons. The scriptures attest otherwise... That aside, blasphemy was indeed a crime in Jewish law, however not in Roman law. Which is why the only way the priests could have Christ executed was if they could find a charge which warranted death, and which went against Roman law. They did, and Jesus was executed by it. Officially, the Romans put Christ to death, but the reasons why were all down to the Jews. Subsequently, after Christ died, his following grew, and Rome looked upon them as troublemakers, an underground movement who refused to worship Roman gods. The Christian persecution by Rome did not last 'hundreds of years' however. In 313 AD, the Emperor Constantine issued the Edict of Milan, which accepted Christianity. Ten years later, it had become the official religion of the Roman Empire. Hardly anti-Christian. So, as entertaining as your spin on the death of Christ has been and is concerned, the only concession I can make is that officially, yes, the Romans physically put Christ on the cross. But the desire for it came from the Jews. There is no doubt about that. I feel I have exercised this topic with you enough, we can agree to disagree, but my position on the subject will remain unchanged. It's been a pleasure, goodbye.

It is incorrect for this documentary to say the New Testament never refers to Jesus as God. Here is why: The people said, “You aren’t even fifty years old. How can you say you have seen Abraham?” Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I AM!” - John 8:57-58 Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. - Philippians 2:6-8 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. John 1:1-4 So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. - John 1:14 Jesus is 100% God and 100% human. It is above our comprehension, but I’d expect nothing less from the creator of all things. How could we possibly begin to understand Him and how He works? Who can council Him? Who can know His ways? His ways are far above our own. Amen to that.

@@zpwilde Correct, but your initial comment implied that all IS God. God being in all is not the same comparison. He has, after all, written His law on our hearts. We have part of Him in us regardless of our belief. As for Christ claiming to be God, he frequently referred to Himself as the “I AM”. This is why the pharisees and scribes accused him of blasphemy. He equated himself boldly with God and they wanted to kill him for it. They knew fully well what he meant when he used the words “I AM”. It is sharply declarative. Jesus is the human form of God. He existed with God from the beginning and all things were made through Him. This is also why God refers to Himself in a pluralistic manner in Genesis. “Let Us make man in our image.” -Gen 1:26 Jesus is 100% man and 100% God. He is from the Father and the Father is in Him entirely. Do we fully understand this mystery? Of course not. But, we can take full confidence that Jesus is exactly who He claimed to be. “Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me.” - John 14:9

It is certain that Yeshua (Jesus the Christ) DID in fact claim himself to be God, God of very God. John 9:38 "And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshiped him." Jesus received worship as God, otherwise He would have told the man not to worship Him. John 8:58 "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." Exodus 3:14 "And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you." John 14:7 "If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him." John 14:11 "Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake." Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." The word for God is Elohiym and is plural, thus signifying the triune of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Sadducee Temple priests officiated the weekly Sabbaths and High Days at the time of Christ, who never contested their solar calendar. In 66AD the Pharisee Anti-Roman (Anti-Fasse/ANTIFA) Zealot rebels, seized control of the Temple. When contested for control, 20000 Judean 'Jewish' Edomites assisted the Zealots and murdered most of the Sadducee aristocracy, priests and hundreds of the Jerusalem populace. The ANTIFA Zealot rebels then appointed their own accursed lunar calendar high priest, who was the last to be seen standing in the Holy Place when THREE AND A HALF YEARS later, the Prince of the Roman Emperor arrived and desolated Jerusalem, Judea and the Jews in 70 AD - culminating in the taking of Masada another THREE AND A HALF YEARS AFTERWARDS. Most of the Christians, remembering Christ's words, escaped to Jordan between the two sieges of Jerusalem - the first siege by General Gallus who then strangely withdrew from Judea, and the second by "prince" Titus son of the new Emperor. These SEVEN YEARS are the fulfillment of Daniels prophesy. Surviving Pharisees continued to enforce their lunar calendar 'sabbaths and high days' in the Synagogues, which they controlled - hiding the Sadducee Temple calendar from the people. Constantine managed to establish the Resurrection day as Sunday in 30 AD on their Julian calendar, which actually overlapped the Biblical weekly Sabbath THAT year. Unable to establish the Biblical calendar, Constantine changed Sunday to the first day of his new Roman week in honour of the Resurrection. Later Constantine's son Constantius ll, knowing the Pharisee's lunar interpretation of the Biblical calendar to be Babylonian and Canaanite, forbade them from signaling the start of their lunar months across the Empire from Jerusalem. As a concequence, Hillel ll was forced to choose a Roman day for their weekly 'sabbath', and he chose Saturday - the seventh day of Constantine's NEW week. The rest of their lunar calendar they kept by Rabbinical calculation. Thus the true Biblical Temple calendar was lost until the discovery of the Dead Sea Scroll's. The Dead Sea Scroll's solar calendar, corrected to the Sadducee 19th Abib Omer Wave Sheaf, is the correct Biblical calendar revealing the weekly Sabbaths and High Days - which is why the Zionist State of Israel suppressed them for 40 years before they were leaked out on micro fish copies. Saturday was only chosen for the Jewish 'sabbath' by Heliel II about 300 years after Christ. He standardised the Jewish calendar. Even before that the weekly 'sabbath' they kept was the Babylonian lunar 'sabbath' that the Pharisees introduced and enforced in the Synagogues after the Temple was destroyed in 70AD. The true weekly Sabbath was already hidden by the Pharisees in favour of the Babylonian lunar interpretation of the Biblical calendar. Knowing this, Constantine's son forbade them from signaling their pagan lunar calendar observations across the Roman Empire. However Constantine himself was unable to determine the true Biblical weekly Sabbath, but he was able to determine that Christ was resurrected in that year on the Roman solar calendars "Sunday". Therefore in honour of the resurrection he changed Sunday to the first day of his NEW Roman week and also made Sunday the day of rest. Without Roman authority to signal their Babylonian lunar 'sabbath' across the empire, Hillel II and other anti-Christ Jews were forced to choose a Roman weekday as their "new sabbath" and he chose the seventh day of Constantine's new Roman week - i.e. "Saturday" ! Rabbi 'Sages' don't tell you all this and most Rabbis don't even know this themselves ! Karaite Jews today still keep the Babylonial lunar calendar and many Christians have been seduced into doing the same. Jericho was an ancient lunar calendar observation city dedicated to and named after their moon god. The Bible called Jericho the "abominable city" and Joshua was commanded to totally destroy it and its inhabitants after marching around it once for six consecutive days and seven times on the seventh day - i.e. 13 times in total !
