THE PARABLES - GRASPING THE ETERNAL
LESSON 3 - THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER (LESSON 3 of 7)
This is the THIRD WEEK of our study of the Parables. The optional pre-reading was Matthew 13:1-23.
We begin with a look at a quick review of Lesson 1-2, and then we turn to our Bible Study Crew with their favorites from the pre-reading.
We begin covering the new material together by looking at the background found in Matthew 12-13, and then turn to the parable itself, as we read The Parable of the Sower together.
As we will do in all lessons of this teaching series, we then together work through applying the MASS principle to The Parable of the Good Samaritan. We speak briefly about how the parable drives home the point that Jesus wanted to convey.
After the MASS Principle, we speak about some of the lessons that the Parable of the Good Samaritan teach us as well as how that plays out practically. We also go a little deeper on one of Jesus’ favorite saying: “He who has ears, let him hear!”
We conclude with a quick recap, the Homework for Week 4 (Luke 15:1-10; The Parable of the Lost Sheep & the Lost Coin). We then end with our “Big Takeaway” from Lesson 3.
Thanks for tuning in, and blessings,
Pastor Randy
