Slow motion views of the deployment of a Katana 97 which spins into linetwists. The initial pitch and dbag deployment goes fine, but when the canopy leaves the dbag you can see it sniveling in a ball for quite some time, which causes it to spin around into linetwists before the tail finally unwraps from it and it starts to deploy.
My thoughts are that I remember specifically rolling the neck and base of the tail roins very tightly 4/5 times after I wrapped the tail around the packjob. This tight rolling caused the canopy to stay wrapped in it's tail for too long where the nose wasn't exposed and the canopy couldn't begin to inflate, hence as the air bounced this canopy ball about it spun it a few times into the linetwists that ensued.
