Just bought a XOP Vanish which is around the same size as the LW assault II. How many feet would you recommend to go around the front and bow holder? Thank you.

+Home Town Hunting Outdoors Great question. I never measured, but just bought the 75 feet of 5/16" rope and had some leftover.

Is that something you acrually do to your treestands or is this just for the video???
@DIYSportsman11 ай бұрын
This is the only stand I own so yes. If I had several in a pre-set arrangement I probably wouldn't take the time.

@@DIYSportsman Does it help make the stand more quiet or whats the purpose?
@DIYSportsman11 ай бұрын
It deadens noise if you were to bump something against the edge, or a little bit if you're bushwacking and have twigs clicking behind you as you push through brush, but you're generally making a good bit of other noise there anyway. On another video I had showed wrapping the front edge with the bigger rope. That served dual purpose of giving a more tactile reference for feeling the front edge of the stand and also quieting the sound if you accidentally let the seat post swing and hit the platform when hanging the stand..
