How do I intertwine the colors? Whenever I make the 1st hitch with the 2nd color, it just makes a separate "chunk" of color instead of being interwoven like yours.

I really appreciate this video, came along just as my new walking stick arrived Roughly speaking, how much cord will i need per inch (25mm) of wrap? I know you will try to give a non-commital reply, but i plan to do a 7-8 inch (175-200mm) wrap, i get it will depend on thickness of stick - about an inch and a half (37mm) - and i understand you will be guessing, all that being said i would like a rough estimate, i dont want to cut off 10feet of 3 cords only to find i only needed 5 feet
