Hey! The cord used is type 3 paracord or paracord 550- about 3 mm in thickness (sometimes 4).

Excellent Video. I did this one a little while ago, but have always known it as Cockscombing. Why oh why do I not look at ABoK every time I do something??? Funny how knots have different names depending on region,country or planet :-)

I don't see why not, with any even number of strands the pattern will be split and stay even and with any odd number it would switch back and forth as you see here.

The only fault I can find as a novice barely able to tie my shoes is the lack of knowledge as to how to finish the two ends. Exceptional video other wise.
