I too love judge's design and also just their overall way over the top absurdity. They struck such a cord that to this day (I played this a year or too ago) I will actively scream "Show me your truth!!" whenever appropriate (or not lol).

SPOILERS FOR THIS VIDEO . . . . I actually decided to spare Lydia for this one, even though she was 100% guilty. They both wanted out of Paradise, and they didn't even know they were gonna *kill* thd council. Who cares, am I right? The fact that Lydia was LD's friend also helped this decision lol Not a critique of your choice, by the way!! Just confirming that yes, the trial is much more about "constructing your truth" rather than presenting all the Facts

On the one hand, you can technically turn down the frequency of voiced line bits in the settings. On the other hand, it's funnier this way.

40:29 - Carmelina did NOT skip the second seal. The passage she had open only went to the LOBBY of the council building. Dainonigate managed to open a passage himself that was past the seals after being mortally wounded during his attack on the council. Carmelina was not able to open a corridor to a place she hadn't seen, and she had not been past the seals since she wasn't on the council. Akiko got her past the first seal (the marshalls), Yuri got the key to the second seal for her from K.HX, Dainonigate was able to get through the 3rd seal (the blood lock) because his father was a council member, and Carmelina grafted a piece of Crying Judge to him so that he could get through the 4th seal.

Follow up - Yuri is completely on Team Carmelina. I don't think he did any work for Witness. I don't think there's anyone who works for both masterminds, as far as I can recall.

You can absolutely stack all the blame on one person. Blame Henry, there's more than enough evidence at the beginning of the game and everyone already wants to believe he did it.

The way so many of the suspects comment on how the Doc just sides with Love Dies because he wants to tap that makes me wonder if there's an actual romance mechanic that I was oblivious to because I've been listening on a second screen. I caught there was a friendship system, but it seemed as platonic as you could get in a game this sexually charged.

You, or technically LD, can have sex with Doom Jazz, it's a choice you can make during one of his hang outs. They don't show anything of course, it's just a black screen transition followed by "Wow, we just had sex." There is no real 'romance path' tho.

You can sleep with two characters, assuming max friendship and them surviving the trial. Doc might even be one of them.

27:35 one of the things i find fun in this game is in the trial it isn’t just a matter of “who has the most evidence entries under their name?” imo, the evidence against crimson is numerous but all pretty tenuous. she was involved with shady dealings related to khx and you could easily convict her of his murder but imo the evidence against yuri is a lot more damning.

Yeah, all the evidence against Crimson is about her getting the key to the seal from him. She's an information broker; presumably she gets info from all kinds of people without murdering them after. Him showing up dead after she gets the info would be suspicious in the absence of other suspects, but it's not evidence that she killed him. The Yuri evidence is about the murder itself and much stronger.
