Just want to say what an amazing album title and great to hear the heavier side of pl coming back again!! Such an amzing band. Both heavy and doomy sounds so good to me. I like all their work!! They are the best at it in my opinion! Others have done great things musically but to me none have come close to the amazing discography of Paradise Lost!! Legendary Heavy Music!!

Admittedly, I fell out of touch with the band around the tie of "One Second" when so many bands like Paradise Lost, Tiamat, Moonspell, and others who had pushed the boundaries were all starting to sound like they listened to the same Depeche Mode record before recording their material. This material sounds much like "Draconian Times" which was my personal favorite!

My review on Allmusic written April 15, 2018. 3.5 Stars Faith Divides Us--Death Unites Us is one of the better later releases in Paradise Lost's prolific catalogue. Their 13th record was released in 2009 on Century Media and in typical fashion for top Paradide Lost albums, leads right off with a monster track; "As Horizons End". This sets the tone for a powerful attack that builds throughout the album. A great brew of melodic Doom Metal, at times recalling the material on their great Icon and Draconian Times records.

Well... Beeing an old dude and have been following different genres of metal for decades I only have this to comment. This album flew away from me like a raincloud in Norway, and they are many. Fell off the P.L. Train when Draconian came out, and that Depeche dude period- I could not stand it. Didn't listen to this one either before the Plauge Whitin was released. That is P.L as I like them. This one, not so much, but still way better than everything since- do I dare say say shades of God. Yes, my old energy tells me this is even more inspierd than Icon, but it doesn't come Close to the Plauge Within which is more up to what I think P.L shoud be.
