People ought to stop claiming that every other heavy metal band is underrated. Heavy metal has been enjoying global popularity for quite some time now. For a death/doom metal band, Swallow the Sun have been recognized as one of the premier bands within the subgenre, and dare I say, the entire Finnish metal scene. Their popularity has been steadily increasing for well over a decade now, in both Europe and North America.

You live through the hell that Juha and myself have and not wanting to associate with anyone physically, then maybe you'd understand why. All of you younger people have others to do everything for you, when in our generation we are either alone or figure out how to find people who help us and then cancer or other life events take those people away. You younger people just don't understand or will ever have to. That's the problem with my country and the world today in my opinion, let governments take care of you only to control you when you don't understand that they are!

As sun is weaker every autumn the atmosphere of this album grows stronger and stronger. I can exactly remember thanks to this album what I was going through three years ago and exactly the strongest moment was when I waved the last goodbye to one person one morning in city I have lived ... the air was cold that morning, something really strange was in the air, tones of this album accompanied me to my small flat and few days on I became sick and also that person which once said how she loves me but as some problems came she wished me the death. This was the last time. I was left on my own ... hard and dark Covid times during winter brought me soon the brightest sun of my life, my beloved one ❤ Soon we will be three years together ❤

Great band too. Every time I hear them I can't help but think of Paradise Lost. Considering the ammount of Sh*t they call music out there the fact that these bands exist allow me to not lose (entirely) faith on humanity and its capacity for turning tragedy into beauty and a source of strength. Learn with and through the pain, grow strong with it. Move on, be a better, stronger human being. That's what I get from them and why they are so deeply in my heart. :-)
