The talmud comes 700 years after Jesus but rabbinical judaism was there at the time of Jesus. Its what Jesus calls "tradition of the Elders". The religion of Jesus and Abraham was hebrewism not the judaism we know today. It was the scripture with some traditions relating to the church but judaism elevates rabbis above scripture and the "jewish" people to a similar status as that of God.
