Didn't realize that about the lens scratching by dragging. You are the first chase cam review to mention it.

Thanks for taking the time to show the differences between chase cams.

Always appreciate the honesty, thanks for the review mark! If you mess with the length of the line it won’t drag, also depends on what type of shot your going for.

love the video! good to see you are still putting out videos in winter. you should show what you use to fly in cold weather in another video. Maybe take a thermometer and measure the temps at altitude?

Not a bad idea. Thanks

Cool review Mark. I've used the Skybean chase cam and it works well also. However, I began looking for a chase cam that would allow the camera to be turned left/right or up/down. I have a Copilot Cam V2 Paramotoring Chase Camera coming in which let's you aim the camera. We'll see how it flies.

Did you shoot these in linear mode? It would be nice to get your whole wing in the frame.

Have you tried a hybrid tow string for the chase cams. and different ratios of static string and bungee cord?
@prov4316 жыл бұрын
I use the SkyBean - my only complaint with it is the non-rotational and slightly biased (for GoPro) housing - which limits options. However, it flies great, and requires no weights to balance - it was on the pricey side though. Some knock off "GoPro's" don't fit the housing even when those cameras appear to be the same size. (it's the lens that prevents them from fitting). The assembly was slightly tedious with the string they use...but hey it worked. Nice vid bro.

So since it’s winter and you’re probably not flying as much you should make a video about a good workout routine for paramotor. I assume the shoulders/ arms are used primarily but I know you also have to be able to run and angle your body so maybe go into what it takes out of you physically to fly for a long time and what muscles are worked the most?

how long is your line and where did you buy it?

Good comparison video!! I have a question though. I currently have the sky been version and I don’t know why but lately as soon as I get off the ground it flips over and records my entire flight upside down. It’s very annoying. I don’t know why all of a sudden it is doing it? I had it for a year used it all the time and never had a problem. I set it up the exact same way I always did. Any ideas
@shaneharvey10266 жыл бұрын
I've seen the same problem. You can place a counter weight, much like mark used in his video, at the bottom rear of the chase cam. You may have to then either move the connection point forward or, alternatively, add some weight to the bottom of the camera sleeve up front to counteract the new tendency to be tail heavy. May work for you.

Nice demos. The only time my cam has met my prop is when I stopped running before the wing was ready to come down. Spooky moment. meh, not really.

Just for complete info - both these chasecams seems to be a copy of our original SkyBean ChaseCam. skybean.eu/chasecam Fact that other brands copy it, is just proof that this is right way ;) This is not a complaint, we are open source company.
