Russian census in late 2000's puts them at 30 000, and even the highest estimates from other sources give a 400 000 - 500 000 of Chinese nationals living in all of the Russian federation in total (that's less than his own fantasy arrivals in one year!) Khanna must be a gifted schmoozer, too: the acknowledgments sections of his books are primary documents of contemporary name-dropping. Khanna’s contempt for democracy and human rights aside, he is simply an intellectual impostor, emitting such lethal doses of banalities, inanities, and generalizations that his books ought to carry advisory notices. Khanna does not really care about the details of policy. He is a manufacturer of abstract, meaningless slogans. Bilal Ameer : think about it... its not worth talking about perhaps? It’s internal issue for India, and Kashmiri politics for most of 1.3 billion Indians does not lie in priorities.. the priority is always to concentrate on children, education , health, economy and progress. If Future of Pakistani citizens is important for Pakistan and if it has learnt its lesson after losing so many wars against india, they should know where to concentrate!

It is really strange that Pakistani think of breaking India. But don't think of their own population. They don't think of their own infrastructure, trade, (exports and domestic). How come you guys don't think about strengthening your own country. Why don't you think about making the Indian subcontinent a better place to live and partnering with your neighbours to grow instead of fragmenting parts.

What he said about 'change' being the only constant feature is true. After (almost) a decade after he delivered this speech of his, the world is significantly different, though not with any more new borders, but that as a potential factor. He hasn't covered much on trade, but now 'trade' has become a new force & an alternate to war - its war by other means. Gone are the days when people used to think 'Trade' as all peaceful or a vehicle for peace. Trade can trigger wars.

What he meant was Indonesia which previously banned the use of Chinese. It was not Singapore. Indonesia has in recent years allowed Chinese schools but there is still some smattering elements of ethnic suppression there, social and political.

I largely agree, but it isn't quite as simple as "American Imperialism." It actually has a lot to do with British Imperialism, and increasing desperation in their war against Germany. They promised lots of things to lots of people in order to gain support. Palestine was one of those double-booked promises.

Kalisthan memory lives only in Canada. The revolutions in the eastern part are between tribes for supremacy some of them wish a statehood for its own tribe, not a separate country.
