I first found this one almost a year ago before I had a wing, and have watched ALL your videos. Now that I just have my first wing and playing with GH this is the *perfect* video as I have experienced all these situations (in my first week, ha). I use the C technique to control the wing and it works great. I also found myself falling into the trap you show of pulling the As too hard and collapsing in light wind. These are great tips and I'm using them 2 1/2 years after you made the video! You're a master my friend.

Dear peter, I learned so much from your 3 ground handling videos. I am beginner and was out there today learning how to fly the wing. As I had watched your videos so many times I was able to anticipate what the wing will do and take actions before it went wrong. I got dragged by strong gust suddenly and managed to kill the wing by wrapping the breaks as you showed it. I also got my wing to correct itself when it flipped up side down by using the breaks and walking along with it. The wind was bit too strong today and so called it a day. I will choose another day when the wind is not too strong. Thank you so much for your teaching videos. I appreciate warmly. regards, ken

This is what I've been searching for! I was actually glad the wind was light as there are loads of videos of people showing off their back flying and heli tricks in strong wind, but no simple clear demonstrations with simple instructions and description of what is going on. Until now! :D Absolutely perfect for low airtime CP's like me. If you do another ground handling video I'd love some tips on wing tip touches. Whenever I try it my glider usually just ends up folding into a neat pile as soon as the tip is anywhere near the ground. I just can't keep it flying. Either that or it feels like it's dragging as soon as it's not directly above me

"don't care about other people, care about yourself"...Exactly, in this case. ;-) I like your "turn over" technique reversing the as and brakes and side walking slowly, beats the heck out of unhooking and re-laying it all out. @16:07, then the laydown....LOL You are a comic with a wing! Can you concertina fold it, too, just with the lines? I've never seen anyone else use the single brake line like that to pull the kite sideways on a drag. Makes good sense since it is ALREADY in your hand. I REALLY like that idea, and will try it.
@PeterHoldy5 жыл бұрын
🤣 you see if i won't care about other people like in this case you won't able to see this video 😁 some people using quick pack bags for wings. So they just stuck wing together by lines to mushroom shape and stuck in. I always do concertina. Just play always with wing before flying and you will master GH ! Take care 👍

Interesting stuff Peter, especially using B lines, that's new to me. I will have to play with b's next time I'm practicing ground handling.

Man, you have some of the best PG instruction videos. Thanks for destroying your wing for my happiness ;-). I was talking to you in your other video comments section on my old account ( ryan b ), and your tip about understanding the wing has helped my ground handling so much. Just watching you play with your wing has helped me too. Thanks a lot man - have a good one!
