thanks for posting...I lived in Hull and had the pleasure of riding 98% of the rides. I worked many a summer at the park scooping ice cream and then serving clams. I could hear the kids screaming on the roller coaster from my home! the 50's and 60's ruled at that time!

Thanks for these pictures - I used to love to go to Paragon Park in the summer, & we could see the roller coaster cars going up and over the tallest bit of track from our house in Hingham when I was young. Such a shame it was taken down.

To Mr. Aronofsky: I love these Paragon Park videos and the great memories they bring back. I have favorited your "Remembering Paragon Park" video to my KZbin channel, and sent it in a link to my younger sister as well. She told me it brought tears to her eyes, just as it did for me. Thanks again for posting these truly precious memories.

Many fond memories of the park.Lived in Quincy, and went to the park from the 40's on. I remember the little stream going through ti in late 40's to the 50's. Roller coaster was bought by 6 Flags in Largo MD. Got to see it in the 80's when I was working in Wash.Dc. Hope it is still being enjoyed. Also, glad they saved the Merry Go Round.I can still see my Grandfather riding it with me. Such memories.

Fantastic video that gives me nothing but smiles and great memories of my favorite home away from home as a kid growing up in the seventies. The coaster is in a new location and has been toned down a bit but at least its still operating. It will never be the same as it was at Paragon but the memories of it will never be taken away. Thanks for posting this awesome video. One of the best I have ever witnessed on You Tube.

My grandmother and uncle lived in Hingham, Mass, and I lived in West Virginia. I would visit them every summer when I was a kid, and I do remember Paragon Park and Nantasket Beach. It was great fun and I have many awesome memories. On a whim, I decided to look it up, and sad to see it's closed, although it's not a surprise I guess. I also remember loving to ride the big blue water slide across the street from the beach. I guess that is gone too.

Every year I would visit my grandparents summer home in Hull. Of course, each year we went to the ultimate Paragon Park. Those were the days, I have not been back since I was 18. Now, I am in my 50's so sad things have to change. Heard the Park is gone, and there is not summer homes anymore. Those were fun times.

I'd almost forgotten how much fun i had when i was a kid. When my parents would leave my cousins and myself there for the day, boy did we get into some wild adventures that we never told them about. Definately some of the best times of my teenage years. They tore it down not long after i got my license, god that could've made for some even better times.

I miss that place! It was my first rollercoaster ride and I was so scared, but then it became my favorite. I remember being at the Park in it's final Summer of operation. So sad how all these places went under or sold out. Paragon Park and Salisbury Beach were part of my familis outings/vacations for years. I really miss those days, but feel fortunate enough to have experienced them.

Wow! What a ride down Memory Lane! I had tried to find Paragon Park on Google Earth and it was GONE!!!! What the heck?!?! I'm with you sparrownightmare! I have so many awesome memories of my summers in Quincy with the grandparents and Braintree with my cousins. My brothers and I were allowed to hang out there by ourselves. But that was in the late '70's. What awesome times those were. Wish it were the same today. I feel bad for kids these days.

Thanks for bringing back some of the best times of my teenage years. I my parent knew about the stuff my friends and I did inside the kooky castle! Not much else measure up to the great times paragon brought us. During the eighties, my parents would actually drop off myself and another half dozen teens and leave us for the day. man, I could go on and on. Thanks!!!!

Oh my God . . . I lost count of how many times my family went there in the '60s and '70s. I loved that place. This video actually brought tears to my eyes as I thought about all the good times from my childhood. It was still operating in the '80s but no longer had the rides, just the arcade and the beach. Here's to Paragon Park, Brockton Fair and Rex Trailer (boom boom BOOM TOWN!).

This was so great to see. I grew up in Hull in the 60's - 70's and spent much of my Teen years at Paragon Park. Any one else here that went to the Broad Cove in Hingham in the 70's or The Surf in Hull ? If so, please respond. I want to tell you about a Reunion Dance coming up in November 2008.

Oh, this brought back memories! I can still taste the fried clams from Joseph's! I must've ridden that roller coaster ten times in a row on many days and I still remember the 1968 Weymouth H.S. prom at Nantasket!
