Then deathwing came and litterly set our world on fire, shattering our lands with just the strokes of his wings, causing tidal waves from just his shear size. I remember being like 14 or so, just so hyped for that expansion. I ended up not enjoying the gameplay as much as wrath or panda land. But the trailer itself was the hypest thing ever. Especially after how fun BC and Wrath was.

This was it. Right there in 2009-2010. Wrath was the greatest expansion and we finally went after the biggest bad in Warcraft. To kill Arthas was epic beyond epic and the competition between top guilds was cutthroat. The fact that I was in a hopelessly far behind yet very fun guild didn't make the encounter less awesome. I wore that title with pride let me tell ya. Yogg-Saron and Arthas stand lonely at the very top of greatest raid encounters and lore significance.

this was double layered tho, he does say you're strong but even he was able to kill you at any moment he wanted as he does. He killed all the players after testing them himself for just how strong they are, meaning that we played all along with the Lich King's plan unintentionally and we would have been the most powerful minions he's had if not for Tirion's luck to be able to break out of his bonds early while we were being resurrected.

i remember killing him for the first time, we werent a top guild but we were the third guild on the server to kill him. it was very nervewrecking in the killtry and also entered the enrage. we all screamed like we had the world first and i also teared up. ive been following arthas story since 2002 in warcraft 3 so killing this boss was something different, especially after trying week after week after week. the lich king was a complete box of everything needed to make an epic boss fight. as silly as it might sound, i will remember this day forever and the people i was raiding at the time.

I remember as a kid, finishing the campaign in warcraft 3 the frozen throne. The cinematic was the most ominous thing I'd ever seen. The story gripped me. When wow was announced, my first thought was .. OMG.. the story continues with Arthas. What will happen? Will he be the first boss? He wasn't in vanilla. I ended up not playing after TBC. I never saw the Arthas fight. Just now, I'm watching this and everything came rushing back. The conclusion of the matter is so perfect. Hair raisingly good. I don't think anything like this has been done in video games since.
