It may interest you to know ;) Ralis Sedarys is literally the most broken/powerful follower you can have in vanilla skyrim. Although credit to your frenzied duels!! that was frigging hilarious rofl. After equipping followers with the best gear you can provide based on their playstyles(no exploits) he will wreck everyone you put against him. This isn't coincidence, or an opinion. It is due to a perk unique to him as a follower(although certain other NPC's do have it) called ExtraDamage2 which increases all his melee damage by 100% with one handed weapons and bows(only 1.5X with 2Handed)he also has 100 skill in one handed before hitting his level cap of 60 and dual flurry(both perks) which speeds up his dual wielding attacks to the maximum. Rieklings have a similar perk, although less devastating as skyrim bases damage on NPC and Player height :P. Orchendor who is considered by many the best dead thrall available does not equal his damage output.

@@lcintra_ From what I understand, almost all (if not all) marriageable followers retain their ability to be used as a follower after marriage. In the case of Marcurio, it definitely works. And, instead of having to keep paying every time you dismiss him if you wait too long to re-recruit him, when you marry him you can just ask him to follow you whenever for literally free.

uhhh spoiler alert I have literally tested it and Marcurio slaps Serana 8/10 with ease. However, yes Teldryn is ridiculously strong, I thought my boy Marc would beat him but he loses 7/10. Concluding that Teldryn is the best. Marcurio pretty amazing for a simple random mercanary.

I can confirm from my many adventures with both of them, that my "I'm an Apprentice wizard!" will beat her any day of the week. I believe the reason is because unlike most followers in Skyrim he seems to back up and make distance between himself and the attacker thus allowing him to just cream them before they get close enough. Another thing I observed of their fights is that Serena likes to attack for a bit then attempt to get in close combat, which fails. This is probably because Electric spells drain one's Mana thus making the attacker resort to close combat and then being killed (Marc. Likes using these spells). Another thing is he can heal and Serena can't unless she uses her vampire spell, but alas without Mana she can't use it and thus has to resort to her dagger.

There are too many variables here. The ones I noticed and my recommendations for eliminating them are: Environmental (people getting stuck on/behind objects) - Possibly fixed by moving to a more open battle ground, the Castle Dour Courtyard might work. Dynamic Follower Levels (some max out earlier than others) - Either set each of them to the same level (level 1 is not a good determinant of how effective they will be at higher levels) or each one's respective max levels (difficult to do with some followers who have no max level). Equipment (different followers benefit by giving them different equipment, for example, Faendal starts with little to no armor, but given a set of light armor, his survivability goes up) - Difficult to account for this variable. Having everyone fight naked gives the mages an advantage. My best suggestion is giving each follower a set of the best set of armor that their skills correspond to. For example, those good with light armor get Dragonscale, those good with heavy get Dragonplate. You might think this puts magic users at a disadvantage, but if you think about it, armor is part of each character's skills. And mages can still equip armor without really affecting anything. Weapons are less significant, as the one they spawn with tend to be tied to their levels. Things get more complicated if you think about how different characters will act given different enchantments.

@Marcus Antonius also Faendal is amazing, because he can get you to 50 archery lvls for free early on. You get him to follow you, tell him to train you in archery, use the item carry option, take your money back and then repeat leveling once at a time, so you can get 5 lvls of archery each time you level up, and starting off with 50 archery early game is op even in legendary difficulty. Then you get Serana as a follower and life is going to become better. God I love Skyrim and everything that you can do in it.

marcurio was my first actual bought follower because i wanted to dupe some items with the whiterun door, long story short glitch didn't work, but i wanted to learn words of dragin tongue, so i went twords the wordwall near the dawnstar dlc place, when i started my way marcurio went missing for hours, i thought he died which i got sad because we were like friends. When i got near i had to fight a scavenger, all of a sudden a zap of lightening comes out of nowhere and i look twords the source, on the hill wearing morthal guard armor was him, Marcurio, looking like a total chad, i have never felt so happy to see an NPC in my life.

I think that also reflects really well in his fight with Abjorn in the Dark Brotherhood quests. He takes a fatal artery cut from the werewolf but only after slicing his assailant multiple times.

Of course Cicero would so do well, he protects the freaking Night Mother! Also, Mucario may not have beat Cicero if that terrain glitch didn't happen, BUT, healing magic doesn't tale up inventory weight where the others would need potions for those lacking healing spells, that's another pro for him, though, he'd have to heal his companion.

It wasn't a terrain glitch, Paragon turned collision off with the tcl command which meant that whenever he's flying, no one else can move because otherwise they'd go through the ground too. You see it all throughout the vid :((

@@jacobmayrand1560 may not be the best (stops at lv 60) but very versatile. He always conjures a flame atro every fight and keeps distance well. Give him a good sword (1H) and watch him murder your foes ruthlessly. The game isn't difficult at all post lv 40 so I think he is your best option.

This was awesome! Thank you for sharing it! Have you ever considered doing one with the followers separated into brackets by fighting style? For example, you might have one quarter of the bracket that is followers whose highest attack skill is a close range non-magic attack, then a quarter of the bracket would be followers with a close range magic attack skill, then quarter brackets for long range versions of each. That way, your final four would have the best follower of each of the four styles.
