Good video, couple of tips when pulling out the cords loop them under the yellow rod so there's no friction and the mallion connecting the reserve use elastic bands to keep the reserve bridal in the correct place in case of deployment, you don't want the bridal running over the screw gate causing damage or worse failure.

Came here to say this. Always pop your pull up cord under the rod before pulling out.

Is the zipper for sure is sturdy enough to keep the pocket attached when you go to rip out the reserve. I was just worried it would be possible for the zipper to split on the pocket to detach from frame with the reserve and not separate

Is the side mounted reserve meant to be on the opposite side to the throttle?
@parajet7 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark. It is really down to personal preference. If you’re ever in a situation that requires throwing reserve then you’d ditch everything and throw… regardless of throttle position. Some pilots like to have it positioned so their dominant throwing arm can be used. We recommend mounting it on the opposite side to the engines torque which allows for a more comfortable flight but it really is up to you. Thanks and have fun, Parajet

Parajet International Ltd Hi :) ive now mounted mine on the left side of my v3 as the bridle came down the left side and onto my lap mounted reserve before, You mention that the reserve bags on the v2 are 'handed' as in left or right side but not interchangeable, Is that true of the v3 aswell cus mine swapped straight over and fits perfect? Just thought id check incase theres something im missing :) Cheers

Hi i have a parajet volution compact and it just has zipped pockets either side how can i fit one of these?

Hi there. Older harnesses did not have this mounting feature. Your options are to front mount your reserve or upgrade your harness to the spec featured in this video. Hope that helps, please let us know if you want to upgrade. Have fun, Parajet

I wonder how you get it back into that shape after you had to use it....or do you need to buy a new one?

I've heard that the best thing to do is send it to a professional to have it repacked after a deployment. Apparently, it's also best practice to have it inspected/repacked once a year. I've seen some videos online showing the process and it usually takes two people and is a meticulous, very particular job. I personally wouldn't want to deal with that. Also, since the cost of a reserve chute is somewhere between ~$200-800, it's probably best to just get a pro to do it.

Agreed

It's incredibly simple to repack yourself (which you should be doing regularly anyway).
