I remember a cable like that one. It was a SCSI cable. SCSI needed a termination at the end of the cable.

Yes, I had a number of SCSI drives back in the day - some a large as a whopping 4GB. Those old 50 wire SCSI cables have since been replaced by SAS - Serial Attached SCSI.

I had scsi until sata became a standard, I especially remember those Toshisba cheeta's 15000Rpm hard drives.. they sounded like a jet engine while starting, but they where so fast
