I guess my teacher copied some of this examples and put it on our activities. While me...I watch vids ,so I could understand it better, then I saw this above the very activity she gave us.hehe

Is it ok this phrase?: as a child I would run, play volleyball and watch the starry night on the beach. Or should I use Would before every verb?
@kspaans2 жыл бұрын
Hey, Enrique! That sentence is perfect! You only need to use words like "would" or "to" or "was" before the *first* verb in the list, as long as the rest of the verbs make sense and stay parallel after that! So the sentence "As a child, I would run, play volleyball, and watch the starry nights on the beach" is great! I hope this makes sense!

Hi, I'm Peruvian, thanks for your video, but I have 3 sentences please someone help me with this parallel struture 1. A second language is very important for your career, building international relationships, and to travel. 2. Last month, we went to Brazil, visited museums, eat good food, and learn to dance the Samba. 3. Susan is an excellent dancer, but average singer.
@kspaans3 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Here is how I would revise those sentences: 1. A second language is very important for work, international relationships, and travel. 2. Last month, we went to Brazil, visited museums, ate good food, and learned to dance the Samba. 3. Susan is an excellent dancer but an average singer. I hope this helps!

Ben is a talented reader, is good at speaking and writing. Is it right or wrong?
@kspaans Жыл бұрын
Hey there! To make the parallel structure work for that sentence (and still keep most of what you have), you would have to write something like this: "Ben is a talented reader and is good at speaking and writing." However, the best version of that sentence is probably just "Ben is a talented reader, speaker, and writer." I hope this helps!
