This is a video I made for one of my classes. It enacts a first response scenario, the actors are my wonderful classmates.

@jujubug20003 жыл бұрын
Typically you should cut the shirt around the person doing compressions in order to keep continuous compressions. The only time you should stop CPR is to shock or do a rhythm check. You want to try and keep it to 10 seconds max for any cease in compressions.

Ellie Snowmountain please tell me what did you find wrong?
@elliesnowmountain33277 жыл бұрын
I don't want to seem rude when saying any of this, it's just what I noticed. When you looked to see if the guy in the park was breathing, you didn't look for long enough, it's supposed to be for 10 seconds. I don't see why you would need a spinal board, neck brace or head blocks for someone that has collapsed, you would do the primary survey for them (DRABC). I understand that you could not do actual CPR on someone that doesn't need it, but the way you kept you elbows straight and you hands interlocked was good. You shouldn't stop CPR for anything unless the patient is being shocked by a DEFIB. That includes while applying the pads as you shouldn't be in the way if they're applied correctly. The pad on the left was placed slightly too low. You're supposed to do 30 compressions then two breaths however I didn't see any breaths and I think you did 30 compressions before you got the pump. You should keep doing CPR until one of you says clear, then you stop and get back. You wait until the DEFIB says resume CPR before continuing as the first shock may have worked. You kept on pausing the CPR when moving the patient. Apart from that, well done.
@nataliejager72227 жыл бұрын
+Ellie Snowmountain whem you control if he is still breathing you have to bend the head far back and not leave it in neutral position....
@CrazyBelgiumGamer7 жыл бұрын
in our country we need to start cpr within 10 seconds. If the person is breathing he will push you away anyways.
@itsbandage7 жыл бұрын
Ellie Snowmountain Thanks for all this great comments 1. your first point is correct we have to wait for 10 seconds at the beginning after checking for conciseness I didn't really pay attention to that. 2. The other patient maybe it wasn't clear but he fell from the stairs so we decided to do a full spinal motion restriction. 3. Yes we stopped CPR a couple of times which was wrong but it wasn't critical because it was all less than 10 seconds of the chest 4. The machine we used was the lifepak not the AED. The lifepak is manual we count the compressions than defibrillate if its a shockable rhythm at 200J for the first shock then 300J then 360J. Sorry for the late reply 🙈

After watching this video over 10 times, i have decided to say this. When getting out of a car to run to someones aid, always look to see if another car or anything that will injure you, is coming. The reason I am saying this is because when the person gets out of his car, he almost gets hit by a red car and then there would be two patients. I don't know if it looked like the car was closer than it actually was because of the angle but always look before you get out of a car especially when you are on the side that opens to the road.
@itsbandage7 жыл бұрын
you're absolutely correct. we should always check for our safety first then go to the patient. thanks for this comment.

@itsbandage7 жыл бұрын
NLSuperGamerboy hey my friend.. we didn't actually shock the guy he's a good guy 😂.. we just verbalized it
@carythomson85876 жыл бұрын
The AED would not shocked someone who is alive . The AED will only shock VF ( ventricular fibrillation ) or VT ( Ventricular tachycardia) .
@polpol5715 жыл бұрын
The AED would recognise the rhythm as Normal Sinus and would say shock not advised. If the AED were to somehow be faulty and allows you to shock the patient, well then that could cause a cardiac arrest.

@rhys805 жыл бұрын
Abdulrahman Al Jandali In Australia we are now taught not to check for pulse after shock and hop in compressions straight away. Although, ventilating mid compressions is very weird
Unprofessional so much mistakes. In the cardiac arrest scenario just one guy who's preparing the AED. And don't stop CPR keep compress. And also dosen't need to cut the PT clothes because he's in hard and flat surface and also has a soft clothes. And in the supine stabilization scenario the paramedics needes to be 4 at least and calling for backup. And doing the scissors between the abdomen and the pelvic section and put the board in the PT back and if dosen't fit we do the zigzag technique.
