versaemerge was one of the bands of the 2010's scene i think about all the time so i deep dived to figure out what the heck happened to them and where they are now. we break down their history, their contract with Fueled By Ramen and what ultimately could have caused their downfall.

I can't believe I have the first comment, great video! I have the same opinion on VersaEmerge, they had all the talent. And I still loved VERSA, synths were part of their sound. I'm glad I've known them since 2013.

i appreciate this! i definitely enjoy the VERSA sound more now than i did when it came out but truly they deserve so much more recognition!

I just found this omg. Im so glad people still remember and talk about versa!! I miss them sm their sound is so unique. Part of me hopes so bad they will come back but it feels unlikely at this point

i loved this band so much, im from tampa so i saw them live a few times before getting signed and i used to see sierra at local shows

VersaEmerge is my roman empire, I was so obsessed with them! I saw them at Warped Tour, some random show in my hometown, and the Vultures Unite Tour where I got my Fixed at Zero CD signed. I BOUGHT ONE OF THOSE HAIR FEATHERS! And Sierra had a shoe line at Payless and I bought those black pump wedges she was wearing in the Consequences video.

Its a shame they weren't as appreciated as i feel they should have been when they were still around. Versa (they changed the name before they disbanded, don't ask me why) has sadly been a nonexistent concern since 2015 but I've beem listening to those guys since 2010 and i feel I'm all the better for it. I do wish them to come back but i think Sierra herself is effectively done with music at this point sadly - she hasn't put out any new material in about 3 years nor do i believe she has any intention of doing so. Anyway I'm glad someone has mentioned it cos almost nobody references those guys which actually kind of annoys me and i do think of them from time to time.

I follow sierra on instagram and she seems to be in some small projects specifically right now one called Hush Money? Not too sure more information but I feel like it’s such a moment from my youth I can’t seem to forget about ever!!! I’m glad I’m not alone with that

Not to be mean, but it's hard to imagine that VersaEmerge could ever compete with the exposure that Paramore got from twilight

i definitely agree to some extent! but, as a label if they see a band surging with the same demographic and growing at a huge rate i can definitely understand if it was a little scary that it could happen! now, in the year 2024 we can see paramore was made for so much more
