Great video and great advice! I like how the people at Blackhawk try to help all paramotorists, not just the ones who buy Blackhawks. I noticed this in several of your videos. It indicates a genuine caring for the sport and for the people involved in the sport, not just an interest in selling products.

Thank you so very much for noticing that! We really do want to try and shift things from "brand wars" to being "all about the flying" like the sport used to be! It's just more fun that way and there's plenty of room for EVERYONE in this growing sport. Funny how money and pride can really cause people to forget why they got into this life-changing sport. Like we always say: "It's all about the flying - nothing more, nothing less!" -Call our office and tell them Rob Whittaker said to give you a free T-shirt. I'll let the office know. Just my way of saying thanks for keeping positivity in the sport with us! =) BLUE SKIES! -Team BlackHawk SALES: (209) 418-5990 OFFICE: (209) 786-7899 EMAIL: Team@BlackHawkParamotor.com WEBSITE: blackhawkparamotor.com/

The best advice you ever gave me was KEEP THE MOTOR CLEAN....that way you can see what's going on...spot issues before they get worse....see that zip tie that broke....the oil leak....whatever.....those words you gave are golden!!!

YES! The trick is getting people to remember that when they are anxious to go fly! So many people skip checking the motor to just get in the air. I was guilty of that with my first motor (different brand from BlackHawk) and the thing fell apart fast. I learned a hard lesson there lol. 5-10 minutes of pre-flight can save 5-10 thousand $ ;) Catch you soon Larry and enjoy your week! They call the bolt paint “Torque Stripe”. We use it in commercial aviation all the time. You can buy it in little application tubes to apply it to bolts and surrounding surface to verify if the bolt moves.

Damn! That's a REALLY cool idea. This is Rob (the Marketing guy for BlackHawk so of course I LOVE ideas like this). If you wanted to make a few and sell them or advertise them in the Paramotor groups, you would sell quite a few. I'll run this by our office too! I’ve been using torqueseal on my motor for 4years, works just like mike says. Also I find a post flight inspection & pre flight inspection to be best, as common practice we usually preflight unit very quick because we are wanting that butter sky. Minari 180 on renegade frame.

Mike...question for you. I have an eprop and they recommended I think 85 inch lbs to torque the prop bolts to. I notice when I start torquing the prop bolts down that the prop hub starts to crackle and crunch! Eprops said this was normal...but i can't imagine going to 110 inch lbs of torque because of the hub squish. Thoughts?

What do you think about the Polini Thor 250 for someone who wants power?
@blackhawkparamotor6 жыл бұрын
We really try our best to not critique other Manufacturer's products - being a Manufacturer our self. There is so much negative talk unfortunately in the sport ("PPG politics"). People will dislike a brand of Paramotor even if they have never flown it or seen one in person because of "what they read online." If it's on the internet it must be true lol! The best way to get info about a product (accurate info) is to talk to people who aren't involved in the sales part of this sport. There is a large group called the Paramotor Group on Facebook. That would be a good way to contact other Pilots. Just be careful of Dealers on commission there waiting to pounce on someone asking a question like this! They will come out of the wood-works when they see someone asking about motors. We sell so many motors that we don't have to treat people like that. I really enjoy working here because of that philosophy of "it's all about the flying - regardless of brand." My best advice - if a company has been in business for a long time (we've been going for over 20 years now), they must be doing something right. ALL engines in this sport have "issues" if you don't take proper care of them. It really comes down to the relationship you have with the Dealer AND PRICE. Imported motors are a LOT more expensive due to import costs and Dealer commissions... When you talk to people: are they honest, not talking bad about other products to draw attention away from their own products, do they pressure you to buy or spend more than you need to, and trust your gut feeling... Things like that. When you have time give our office a call so we can talk about engines. We're happy to help and I'd love for you to experience "the BlackHawk difference" after talking to our staff =) BLUE SKIES! -Team BlackHawk SALES: (209) 418-5990 OFFICE: (209) 786-7899 EMAIL: Team@BlackHawkParamotor.com WEBSITE: blackhawkparamotor.com/

How much money of this paramotor engine
@blackhawkparamotor6 жыл бұрын
Hi there! We have entire packages with everything needed to fly for around $7000. We also have large 4-stroke motors that go up to $15000. It really depends on what you need... The most expensive motor doesn't mean it's better. It's all about "Power-to-Weight Ratio." The motor you need (and price) depends on things like your age, weight, elevation where you live, local laws, and if you want wheels or a Foot-Launch unit. When you have time, reach out to our office so we can get you more precise information =) BLUE SKIES! -Team BlackHawk SALES: (209) 418-5990 OFFICE: (209) 786-7899 EMAIL: Team@BlackHawkParamotor.com WEBSITE: blackhawkparamotor.com/
