One side where I was given responsibility, earned trust, and learned good judgement early on. And another side of that where I knew if I got myself into a world of shit my parents could pull me out from the worst of it, unharmed. I see both sides of that in myself. I'm highly responsible, and I'll face the consequences of my actions, but sometimes I'm immature or too naive for my age. Maybe, quietly raising a family within one's means just doesn't feel as exciting as Yellowstone's portrayal of being a cowboy.
