How does this compare to the vortex fury 5000 ab?
@paramounttactical23 күн бұрын
I haven't tested it but I feel like they are wildly different products so I'm having a hard time, in my mind, justifying a comparison between them. Most people either want a rifle mounted LRF or bino LRF. Binos are lot more versatile that's for sure but I understand the need/want/use case for rifle mounted.
@Andronow23 күн бұрын
@@paramounttactical the Vortex Fury 5000 AB is a LRF bino with AB on-board, so therefore a direct competitor to these. You are thinking of the Vortex Impact 4000 rifle-mounted unit.

I really appreciate this in depth comparison as I’m in the market for this kind of unit and have been following both of these for a while now. That ding on the etched reticle is a serious issue l can’t believe vectronix didn’t think how are people supposed to range targets in the dark if the aiming point can’t be seen🤯. So i called SIG after the video and they confirmed SIG gen2 10k is a class 1 laser not 1m. They couldn't tell me why it was downgraded to a class 1. That being the case the class 1m in the Vector x should have been considerably better in laser performance than the SIG even according to Vectors own info.
@paramounttactical23 күн бұрын
@@Coldbore375-lp6gj that is interesting. 🤔 MOST of the time, I do get a little better distance out of the Vector but it’s never by much. I’d say about 80% of the time I can get like 200-300 yards further with the Vector but sometimes the Sig will hit targets the Vector can’t. If Vector’s data is accurate, that should never be the case. I’ll have to research how much a difference between a Class 1 and a 1M. It may be negligible.
@Coldbore375-lp6gj23 күн бұрын
@@paramounttactical According to the info page on Vector sight its significant. I used to be a dealer for Newcon rangefinders. I always figured they should do half the distance they are advertised to reliably. Even the bigger Newcons held to that for the most part. Some things i find odd is so far my vectors compare to my Terrapin x and my Kilo 2500. Both class 1 lasers. The other thing I see with NVG s is a round beam against a wall. Seems like it would be difficult to have a rectangular beam divergence with a circle. My 10k is rectangular. You are tracking same as me with the reticule at night. They went to the trouble of putting a NV setting for the HUD with a non lit point of aim. WTF? My units wont stay calibrated for the compass either. Just got used to seeing the chicken.
