So shonen bat is our problem and stress and morami is our comfort zone and make us deny our mistakes. That's what I understood from the video. But before the video I thought shonen bat was our negative thoughts keeps coming to us and we try to escape from it but when we give up he hits us and let us forget everything to escape the reality instead facing it. I never thought the dog had a meaning in the anime. Underrated anime.

So the 'Shonen Bat' was a symbol of hurting ourselves due to stress at first, and as too many people were getting hurt and it got known in whole Japan, it's power got increased, which is suicidal thoughts. The paranoia they were facing is just to escape their reality. And that's why when the Wife of the Detective struggled to accept her reality, she was breaking the things near her. But when she accepted it, Shonen bat left but her husband went into a delusional world again just to escape his own reality. Woah this would never end!!! What a thinking the writer had 🔥🔥🔥

"Shonen bat its the same as moromi" It means it does came from the same feeling/desire that a human have "to escape", while shonen bat representing "to escape responsibility/problem/depression" moromi represent "to escape for a better place" both came from the same source "Depression/Mental Problem" but the fact some people choose "death" or "better place" for their destination both are the desire "to escape"

@@namjoonpicasso6104 Yep! Although in the last episode where everything was collapsing is because of an earthquake and because of the earthquake everything started shaking including the massive amount of the pink mascot plushies and parade balloons. So the plushies started to expand and everyone started panicking once again thinking it was somehow Shonen Bat's fault when in reality he never existed. And you know it's really true that things that don't exist become real-like when rumours start. Like for example a serial killer that never actually existed maybe only once but he wasn't a serial killer he just killed someone but people made rumours about him. Rumours and Paronia give strength to our imagination. Like the monster under your bed thing.

Confusion indeed! that's what I felt like when I first watch one of his work, which is Perfect Blue and it became one of my favorite. At first I was convinced that Shounen Bat is truly a boy attacking people but as I dig deeper in the anime it just make sense, that Shounen Bat is just the visual presentation of all our 'Problem' while Maromi is our coping mechanism to escape those problems rather than facing them. I'm only here because of the ending, the part where the detective is scribling maths in the dirt and when he said it's has no end, which is infact true. This anime got me hooked, I'm truly amazed. And that opening really got me singing! Gave it a 10/10

He makes a valid point about the low-end, but as for the "raspy" bit, look into dynamic de-essers. It will temper the harsh S, SH, and T consonants. It seems like your mic and recording environment are right, but a little bit of tweaking in post can be necessary to bring it to the next level. Compression is also an essential step, it basically can boost the overall volume while squishing the peaks down to a reasonable level. There are plenty of tutorials around if you need further guidance. This is my go-to compression plugin lately klanghelm.com/contents/products/DC8C/DC8C.php and I think oxford and waves make good de-essers.

Shonen Bat - It is a part of you that blames others for your own mistakes. Maromi - It is a part of you that makes you feel innocent after commiting a mistake and confronts you. Basically both are your creation and both are same feeling. Because, both of them keep you away from reality so you become blind and don't face reality. Shonen Bat grew bigger because this thing happens with everyone.

I can explain,,!! Lil slugger, or as I like calling him Shonen Bato, was a fake manifestation of the artist's fear made real to cover up the story of her killed dog. With another incident of a attack on someone again, the news took off and people began to worry, until they too were paranoid and scared of him, until they wanted him to fix all their problems. It's like religion, you don't know where it first originated or if the events told were real or fake, but you believe in it for salvation and purpose, just like the people did Shonen Bato. It was when the originator of Shonen Bato accepted the truth and made him nonexistent, that's when he disappeared. But what happened when he did exist is still there.

Personally I thought he just served the purpose of filling the role of a seer or oracle in line with the fantasies of the skinnier ex detective and the kid they apprehended as shonen bat one time. Like that irony between their fantasy that attempted to break the worlds fantasy and he was meant to fit that archetype to further that element. I guess there could be something deeper to him considering his introduction is as the responsibility of that one reporter , he is given the position of being a responsibility that needs to be addressed and also then addresses the responsibilities of others thru his writings. I see him more as a functional character made to support the plot and stort than a super deep one but thats basically my thoughts on itn, if ur still interested in hearing from anyone.

There are many possible interpretations of the "meaning" of this show, but one that makes a lot of sense (but really isn't essential to understand to enjoy it) is that it's about world war 2. The failure of all these people to take responsibility in their lives and face harsh reality is a metaphor for the ignorance of the Japanese people to the horrific war crimes that their country committed. Even to this day most Japanese people know very little about such horrors, and their government continues to cover it up. They instead escape through the blissful fantasy of Maromi, while fearing Shonen bat, the demonised personification of reality. A metaphor for both the blind idealistic nationalism of imperial Japan and the modern escapist culture of Japan today. Then in the end, they are forced to face reality as the city is quite literally destroyed by the clashing of idealism (maromi) and reality (shonen bat), being a less than subtle metaphor for the firebombing and atomic bombing that devastated Japan in the war. But once the city is rebuilt and the horror is no longer plainly in their faces, they just go right back to how they where before and the cycle continues. A reflection of the continued ignorance of reality in the very sheltered and culturally strict lives of Japanese people today. Again, this metaphor isn't the only interpretation, and it only becomes clear once you consider the whole show as one.

Why? it legit predict the Tsunami Earthquakes Typhoons ects in japan in 2011 this anime is just about reality and fantas like other Animes. The anime Villains, are humans in real world The anime hero, are the illusion of the human mind. If you have Doubts, "Doubts are higher than truths"

Great analysis of the show. Though I wish the Detective at the end was explained... it kinda got weird after that, so I'm not sure what becomes of the Detective. There is a certain de ja vu and spiral back to the beginning.

It's a brilliant anime. I feel like the responsibility part is not just a criticism of the individual for wanting to escape reality, but society as a whole. Everyone has different reasons for being stressed, but as we see at the end, there isn't anyone who isn't stressed. It seems to depict how the rat race of work culture and things like that are affecting people.

The main character created manami out of her "failiure to be resposible about her dog" Therefore she created Manami, and blamed her dogs death on shonen bat, only to bring him back into excistance when japan needed another miracle mascot. Since she couldnt create a miracle, she created a spectacle ; a curse. A scapegoat for everyone who could not accep the failiure of their responsabilities and just take a rest.
