Well done Jerry. As a c4 quad using my Fillauer llc stance phase lock spl2 kafo's .. I get what this takes. My foot area was modified to remove stimulus and its easier to use a shoe with a bit of a heel .. extra size doesn't become a issue. My side metal area go into each side of my shoes. I noted what a pendulum does being yours doesn't have it. The force forward to unlock would put some down.. kafo differences can assist for those needing more safety. Going backwards I laughed.. our SCI ..

@Wavewolfaroha5 жыл бұрын
You have had these now 7 years since the video was made, and I'm wondering if you continue to use them. I put my shoes on with only ankle strap tightened, to avoid skin damage, then fix other straps from bottom up.. And I wear leggings for same reason. Your gait is amazingly good, but still hard on hips, isn't it?! Have you been able to put more weight on legs and less on arms with time? Weight bearing is great for maintaining bone strength, circulation, and facing your mate!
@MRreptile135 жыл бұрын
Wow yeah long time since this video. Thanks for watching. I don't have these same pair anymore, but I do have a another pair. I made a video on those. I don't use them as much as I should but when I do,I stand around an hour. At some point after "walking" around I'll lean on a wall and watch tv for a while. But my heals and feet start to hurt. Glad you are getting yours on!

Thanks for sharing this video, it is very inspiring! I do have a couple questions; I want to know does your body have to acclimate for the (strengthening) of the trunk, because I have lost muscle, balance and strength. Thanks again, Thiah Doherty
@MRreptile138 жыл бұрын
I'm not 100% sure what you meant. but as a t10 t11 para with strong spasms,it's fairly easy to stand and walk with these on. it doesn't require much balance if you're holding onto the walker. or leaning on a wall to just chill. Sitting back on your chair is the more difficult part. cuz you gotta unlock the leg braces and sit. takes some practice.
@jamesbeck39418 жыл бұрын

These KFo's can help you when you are doing your shopping! You can stand up to g@ap somehing which is up and too high to get it when sitting! Great! I can stand up and go some steps, about 20 to 25. Then l need my chairwheel or a rollator for a few steps ore. I've 11 defect vertebral disks and my shoulders are "frozen shoulders" and l've fibromyalgia and a parcinson syndrome but no parcinson. These are the werst. I've ggt pain the whole day and niggths, too. But my Fentanyl helps to make it nevertheless. It's so hard to live with these every - moment and - move - hurts, but l love to live, really! And l wish that you are so kind and friendly all days! That's the right sight of life! Be blessed!
