Honestly don't know how to feel about that one. It sounds unique and otherwordly, which is pretty fitting I'd say. And while I think that this song is all in all better than ridiculon's version (I love their later work, but the womb theme is kinda just ambience with drums for the layer), I think ridiculon and mudeth captured the atmosphere better. Mudeth especially made a, in my opinion, fitting and atmospherical theme, while keeping an ongoing melody and all that. That being said, I absolutely adore 0:29 and can't get enough of it

I feel the need to mention RENREN's interpretation of the womb used in the Fiend Folio mod here, since I feel it's even better than Mudeth's: Matryr's Tribunal (kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKrSeIykZbmUnc0). Funnily enough, both Onyx (the guy who created this one) and Mudeth were going for an alien sound for the womb, which is fitting, since it contrasts everything you've seen thus far: From Basement to Depths, the game gets increasingly dark, cold, and colorless, and the womb breaks this cycle by being a much more warm floor with more color to it. However, I feel like everybody forgets that despite it's strangeness, Womb is also meant to be a familiar place: Isaac DID quite literally come from this place, and that is something that RENREN manages to weave into their song. Among the creaking, disturbing organic sounds and the Slide Whistle which fits surprisingly well into the overall alien theme, there's this toned down almost hymn-like theme (that apparently originates from Slendy Tubbies?) that really sets that track apart from it's competitors, this auditory reminder that at one point YOU were one of the fucked up weird monsters inhabiting this place. And after hearing it, I really can't stop thinking about how fitting this contrast is TL;DR: Both Mudeth and Onyx both did a decent job, but neither of them had incorporated the theme of (alien) familiarity present in RENREN's track

Original womb is.... honestly, bad. Mudeth's is good, but a tiny bit strange to be fair, but I would be hypocritical, some of my own tracks questionably fit into their chapter!

Dunno, I just do them- I think a key thing is that I do not obsess over perfectionism and making stuff thats perfect. Lots of my tracks are imperfect and could be improved in several fields, especially mixing, volume, chords and such. But its alright, as long as I think it sounds good and I am happy with it!
