Where can I get the neutral saftery switch an wire or does it come as one piece? Where can I order it?

I would look Ebay or Aliexpress. It comes as one piece as far as I know

I think I have the same problem. My bike doesn't start unless it is in neutral, or else just sobs and shuts down. Also, the neutral light on the dashboard doesn't light up. Do you think I will solve by replacing the switch?

Bike should not start when it is in gear unless you depress the clutch handle. So it is normal that bike only start on neutral. Light bulb can be blown or there can be a ad connection, cable somewhere

Hi thanks for the video, its happen to me neutral light will disappear only when the engine is very hot, the bike will start only if you pull the clutch even if the gear is on neutral, but, once the engine will could down, is all back as normal... hahha maybe my switch is working funy at hot engine? What is your opinion? Thanks.

Weird. Can be thermal expansion or plastic parts get soft if they get too hot. You can just make a simple continuity test when the engine is warm. Would be my first suggestion.

Yes. It can be stuck or short circuit itself

I dont think it should cause a problem like that. Neutral switch should only prevent engine from starting. Once the engine is running there shouldnt be a problem. If the ATV jumps forward when you put in gear than i think there can be a problem with the clutch/cable

Sure. The contacts, solder joints, sockets etc can be intermittent

Make an Internet search for Honda Cbf 150 Parts List to find the order code of this switch. I dont have an online store unfortunately

@ ...Ok, thank you. I left the Recon at the shop since they said they won't have the part until next week. I figured I would investigate this more because I feel like I am getting ripped off. 300.00 to replace a twenty dollar sensor? That is what we call here........Off highway robbery.

@@spike2794 thats why i started doing my own repairs. Even if the pricing is normal its still 300 dollars to change a 20 dollar part. Even if you dont have the tools you can buy them for less than 300 dollars. and this is what i do. I buy the tools instead of paying for repairs

@ Yeah, I am going to get it tomorrow and bring it home. I am not a mechanic but I have usually done repairs to my own vehicles because I can't afford to pay a mechanic the crazy prices they ask. I just replaced a radiator in my 2003 Chevy Suburban. The shop wanted 500.00 for parts and labor. I found the exact same radiator on line for 66.00 (a great deal) and I replaced it myself and it costs a total of 100.00 with antifreeze and took me about an hour. I never worked on a 4 wheeler but I will have to start. Thanks for your feedback and part number. Is that German? The language?

It is russian but you can find the same diagrams in english. For some reason the english ones didnt show the part number you needed. As i said i am not 100% sure if that info is correct but i am very sure that you can do that repair for much cheaper on your own. And perhaps even better

What do you mean your engine will not work. Just pull in the clutch and it will work

@@michaelmaclaughlin3324 ATVs have this neutral switch and they're manual. On a manuel you can use the clutch and it will overrode the switch and start the engine

Am i talking about diagnosing a bike which does not start?? If a neutral switch is faulty it can prevent a bike from starting. Nothing to discuss. here. As we all know you can override it with pressing the clutch but that is not what I am talking about in the video.
