Something every Parcels fan needs to understand: This group of musicians can play anything. And they enjoy doing so. Before they were Parcels, some of them were folk artists. Others preferred techno. Many of us came to the group during their "disco" phase. Day/Night transitioned into "soft rock" phase. This live album is an extreme version of the live tour "rave" phase. This group will always change. Wherever you joined the ride, remember that it was just another phase. If you don't like a particular phase, don't worry. Give it a short while, and another style will start to emerge. That's what is beautiful about the band called Parcels.

Because they are genuine and authentic to themselves they will always be the definition of and redefine and push forward whatever style of music they are playing. Oh, you've just explained me why they chose that exclusive club, exclusive guests in brands and long exclusive techno a la Berlin - just for not pleasing people 😂. Maybe it's for the same reason they stopped caring about the followers of this channel making it faceless and uninteresting? I wonder what kind of innovative you've noticed in this all-around second hand techno aka noise sometimes? Real? Authentic? Genuine?😂😂😂 Let them play their exclusive techno at weddings and funerals, that will be a good switch of genres.

Excelente performance

Love Parcels, been a fan for years, I've actually been blown away by this. The track selection and music is by far its strongest suit, reminiscent of the Daft Punk Homework era (bummed out they decided to leave out Somethinggreater and Theworstthing). But playing complete techno songs on actual instruments is unheard-of and pretty groundbreaking for what we've come to know as an indie band. In contrast, I feel like the video lacked what we loved most about Vol. 1, the intimate musical performance, the immaculate environment and elegance. This one sadly feels much more impersonal and distant. The non-Parcels scenes aren't particularly pleasing and at times feel kinda lifeless, even with some unusually tacky visuals thrown here and there. A small let-down for sure, but I'm glad they're still the same extremely skilled musicians and composers they've always been. Hope this video gets the attention it deserves. Love from Chile 🇨🇱

If you complain about the vol 1 being “better” just go listen to that, these guys are always changing in order to push the envelope (you can see it just by seeing the live performances) and that’s what you do as an artist, you change in order to express the things you wanna express. And that process is what makes music and art beautiful

@@ИдаСеменова-ч1п how do you know something’s gonna be “important” if you don’t even try? creation itself is about success and fail in order to make better want you wanna make, no matter what the people could possibly think or say about it. I love the dance approach to these tracks. Its clear Berlin has influenced Parcels a lot over the last couple years and I think that is so cool. These guys are true musicians and adapt in many ways while staying in sync with each other. My critique of this Vol. 2 is almost 100% on the visual side. Vol. 1 was ahead of the curve for a newer band. The professionalism was off the charts and the filmmaking was simple, yet powerful. Here felt as if the visuals were created last minute and were an afterthought. The same random b-roll shots are used throughout the entire video.. Random people getting out of cars and shaky handheld camcorders capturing the bottom half of peoples' bodies. It doesn't seem intentional and does not really connect with how tight/calculated the band is. Was underwhelming and I have all their work on vinyl and have been to shows.

The video is a huge disappointment. I feel like they shouldn't have released this. We'd 100% be fine w just the record. If you can't do something well in this day and age, don't release it because it will set you back among your peers. For ex. look at what Jungle is putting out...simply amazing. And then it pains me as a huge parcels fan to come onto Parcels channel and see this video when there are so many creative people out there with fresh ideas who could have killed it. Sigh.

This album will never be my favourite, not even close although I listen pretty much to electro, first of all because it's false & fake for me from the first note to the last, from the first shot to the last though It has two real bangers: Iknowhowyoufeel (an oldie) and the reshaped Reflex. Tbh I'd exchange this whole album for a small guitar warming up jam you posted in your ig stories today, great Perceval Carré's efforts don't help. Noah said in an interview you don't understand why vol1 is so loved by fans/public. Vol1 was elevating the taste of an average listener (like me), every single detail there was music, no other distracting factors but inspiring playing, fantastic quality, musicianship, your smiles, eyes and faces, great devotion to what you do best of all, a pleasure of doing your job was transmitting through the screen. Here I literally see nothing. No faces, no eyes, no feelings. A very robotic music, you're more robots here than the robots themselves (a duftpunkish calambour). Also the aesthetics "not for everyone, exclusivity". Too many details, colours, corridors, too much agitation, fashion, darkness. Many lights and no Light. Strange people. More attention to the outfits than to the emotions. Those girls wandering over the room had no feelings on their made up faces. Sure, it's professionaly well done but doesn't bring deep emotions what music exists for. It's not enough dancey as disco songs, I can't dance to it really.

@@MaxOrtiz-em3qh me too, Maxi😢, I don't like plastic music/emotions.The very idea of playing techno with instruments is weird and wrong to me. What for? Like footwriting instead of handwriting. Why substitute computers? Dead way.

@@ИдаСеменова-ч1п they got their hundred thousands of fans from a different style and now it doesn’t matter what they do. They could release a rap album and people would be foaming abt how its their new phase and to stop commenting abt it.

@@parcelsarchive don't you agree with me? Live instruments are for vibrant live music, computers help to make technological sounds. Each to its own. I do believe all germans are made in the high technology factories, they are surrounded by generic sounds from birth, it's their natural habitat, isn't it? That's why they are so good at what sounds robotic.

This is the best live dance music performance ever performed with live instruments.

I'm happy to get into some seriously deep grooves, but I do hope they someday return to the weirdness of eg Clockscared. Probably not gonna happen but a boy can dream. At the end of the day they gotta follow their muse wherever it leads

Their muse definitely lost taste - my verdict

I went to 2 of their concerts which had these techno versions. I completely understand that listening from your phone or laptop, the "original" versions are more preferable, but live this was absolutely insane. Both concerts were an absolute journey and we danced our asses off!
