It’s pleasant boys but its not quite the technical disco funk were used to. I am sure this goes so hard in person, but Live Vol 1 was a spectacle to anyone who heard it. This probably won’t catch as many people’s attention, I get you can’t stay in the same genre forever though.

Agree with you, vol1 was a great recording and a great footage by the way. One for ages. Solid, tasteful, respecting traditions, serious. Actually most musicians come to that level at the age of about 40-50 y.o. Parcels practically started from that level. Live vol2 I guess will appear more "young" and logically could be prior to vol1.

I did not like this video I'm afraid. I enjoyed the dance-y song and excited to hear the rest! This video gives me hope of them returning to their previous style I liked so much ... but ... There were hardly any shots of the band members playing their instruments. Except for Patrick on his keyboard for a bit, Anatole on drums at the end ... and Jules on guitar for a moment (never showed his face). I'm no musician, but I couldn't hear any guitar. Not a single shot of a band member singing? This feels more like a regular music video to me, trying to be cinematic, vs documenting a "live" concert. I guess it does replicate the experience of being there ... A smoke filled basement, can't see very well, bouncing up and down, looking around at the other people. I'm sure it would have been awesome to be there, and have a few drinks in me. If that's what they were going for I think they succeeded ... but that's not what I want to see when I'm viewing at home. I want to see the band playing, and I want to see the crowd enjoying it ... but I want it to seem "real". Don't hate me guys ... but I hope the other upcoming videos are not all like this.

The video is too blurry and messy. It's sometimes impossible to see the musicians, really, not speaking about the face expressions, the little moments of musicianship as it was on live vol 1. I guess the video is not prior to audio, just to make a visual presence effect "in da club". The outfits are invisible too except maybe Patrick's tank. What's worse I don't see any audience interest in what's happening. Where is the public dancing as hell? Seems like some rich people hired Parcels to their corporatе party😅

I hope no one takes this the wrong way, but tbh this is like the opposite of what I had hoped for when imagining us getting Live Vol 2 some day. I had imagined them doing a live in-studio version of their second album, as they pretty much did with Vol 1. Maybe with a small orchestra section for the songs that have it. But this is completely different. Vol 1 was live but had the studio vibes, having an audience and being in a venue totally changes the vibe, the sound quality, and the performance. Not saying that's a bad thing, but they really set an expectation with Vol 1 and it was such a hit with people because of that. The listening experience between an album in a studio verses an album recorded with a live audience is very different. Also the *QUALITY* of Vol 1 was insane and it blew my mind the first time I watched it. I of course will surely enjoy whatever they put out, just as I thoroughly enjoyed this version, so I don't want to come off as a complainer. But I was really hoping to see them perform Day/Night the same way they did with Parcels. I'm sure whatever we get will be amazing. I've enjoyed every concert and recording I've seen of these guys, and they've quickly become one of my all time fav bands over the course of this year

Agree about the orchestra thing, you weren't the only one who thought of it. That would have been fantastic. I love La Frette session and needed something alike as vol2. Vol1 was extremely solid, like the peak of the career. I say it's weird to start from the monumental vol1 and proceed with the teenage vol2. Reverse logics.

I remember the show in Paris (Zenith). During the Electro parts, the audience was so... Lost and searching for the beauty we're used to. I was so disappointed On the other and, it's been 20 times I'm listening the Reflex version and it's really amazing to find this perfect sound between rave and acoustic. Between drugs and deep feeling. I really hope they won't lose themselves in the Jetsetter parties.

I saw them live in San Diego and they played this version of reflex, I believe they put it as "reflexology" on their set list. It was definetly my favorite song from the gig and listeting to it again brought me back to that amazing night for a bit, absolutley love t this band

You would've made a club-type version of the album and also do a Live Vol.2. Day/Night is a masterpiece, and we were able to hear an elevated version of Parcels with it. I was really impressed with that album and I share the sense of disappointment of some of the fans with the announcement that this will be the live album. What made Live Vol.1 so special is that you can play it anytime, it is a comfort record. I share spaces with Parcel's fans from around the globe and we've talked about it. We play it whenever we feel happy or sad, no matter what, it'll always take us to a good place. You guys are great! I admire the incredible ability you have to make the music feel new whenever you perform, of course I'll listen to this whenever I want to dance or party but that's where its limitation resides. I hope you can make another version of Day/Night, your creation deserves it :)
