I used to do a thing called “the mommy dot”. So that when you think you child is lying, you tell them that there is a dot that shows up on their forehead that only mommy’s can see. So you can always tell when they are lying- the dot shows up. For my daughter, every time she would lie, she would cover her forehead. 😊

I think the reason Lila does the hair cutting and clothes cutting isn't because she is trying to be destructive. She's a very talented person who may become a hairdresser and a clothes designer. She's just not old enough to use her future skills! My sister was like that! She became both a hairdresser and seamstress. Very gifted! So have patience, and maybe get Lila some craft gifts for Christmas where she can use her budding skills! Just sayin' I recognize my sister in her! ❤😊 🙏

95 percent of the time I started buying my kids only second hand toys. My reason being it’s giving toys extended life. No packaging needed. We are such a possession hungry generation/world. I have a rule. If things come in things go out. I’m not always perfect, but to just remain mindful. Their little toys/knick knacks I fit into a back pack each and nothing beyond that… ps that back back stuffed with toys is great to take to the park and sometimes they can trade with friends or maybe give away to new friends… It’s good because it will help keep them mindful in their lives in future. It’s helped my adhd/ocd immensely. Clutter brings clutter to your heart and mind. It honestly came about because we were just straight up broke. Maybe only keeping out certain toys and putting away other then rotate.

This can have a lasting impact on their self-esteem and identity. I just thought I'd let you know why she is doing what she's doing. Trust me if you google Middle Child syndrome you will get a lot of information on why she's behaving the way she is.

The interesting thing about you mentioning probably not knowing who the winner would be on Election Day, was that I switched back and fourth between 4 Networks supposedly all reporting Live, and 3 out of those 4 would not updated their results for the longest time. The results came in from Pennsylvania and then Michigan putting the winner over the top, and they still did not update and just kept analyzing different areas of some of the States. It was like they were waiting for results that would make it appear that the race was closer than it was. I’ve heard about News Stations being “selective” in their reporting, but it was the first time I witnessed it so blatantly. So depending on which Network you would have been watching to get your results, you could have been right that you might not have known who won that night.

I feel like our “icks” about other people are pretty similar. I’ve always said mine can pretty much all be summed up into “acting like you think you’re the only person in the world, or the only person who matters.” Like literally just today my mom and I were in the drive thru at Starbucks. It was PACKED, like 6-7 cars in front of us and 3-4 behind us. We’d already been waiting like 15 minutes and this dude pulls in off the side street and zips in line when the car 2 ahead of us pulled up. And I just wanna ask people like that “why? Why do you think that your time is more important than the rest of ours and you didn’t need to sit there and wait your turn like everyone else?” Stuff like that just infuriates me. And I definitely get what you mean about like accidentally doing something similar or maybe they just didn’t realize what they were doing, but this dude knew, like he steadily kept creeping forward every time that car would move the least little bit so the car in front of ours didn’t have much of a choice but to let him in (although I was mad at them too because you could just tell as soon as he pulled in the parking lot what he was planning on doing and they should’ve been riding the bumper of the car in front of them). I was/am so mad 😂 I had to pray and ask for forgiveness and need to again because I’m clearly not over it lol. It normally wouldn’t have been a big deal, but we’d already been waiting so long and that Starbucks is NEVER busy (or at least not at 3:30 on a Thursday afternoon) so my mom and I had placed mobile orders at another place across town thinking we’d just whip in Starbucks real quick and grab my coffee (which I’d also mobile ordered) and our food would be ready about the time we got there, so then our food was cold by the time we finally got there. Sorry to vent, but yeah I feel you on that ick lol. We love BOTH of you (and the kiddos too of course), hope your eyes feel better and Jackson is feeling better too 🙏🏻

He takes 20 minutes in the bathroom. We are on our 3rd round of purging stuff. We have a kid on the way. We are seriously minimizing toys. There’s so much they can do outside and play. I waddle down the hallway. What goes around comes around. I used to get frustrated when my dad was so slow. I am the slow one now. The scripture says “man is that he might have joy”. Why not enjoy all holidays, including Halloween-to heck with thinking about the dark side assigned to it! God has a sense of humor, otherwise he wouldn’t have created us. Even in the creations of some animals, donkeys for example, indicates his personality that he enjoys a laugh. The scriptures say that he wept which indicates he has feelings-why can’t he laugh as well? Love you guys❤❤❤

I play games on my phone. They are crossword puzzles, find a word, sudoku, actually one is Puzzlepage it has a variety of puzzles each day. I love Cryptograms, Fill it ins, Red Herring is another fun game, mazes, Solitaire, Compulsive a block stacking game, and find an item from a list that are in a picture and find the differences. I also like coloring pictures. All keep my mind going while I'm either stuck in bed or if, fortunately, I can sit in my chair for a while. I pull out my phone so I can play a game or read a book. I'm stuck with a body that is constantly bullying me so I'm lucky when the pain pills work so i can get out of bed, sit in my chair for a while. I fortunately enjoy crafting a lot. So I can work on thatif I'm javing a great day. I can read again because I can hold my phone to read a book on the phone. Holding a book is very hard on my arthritic hands. I have Psoriatic Arthritis, along with the normal arthritis. Not fun. Enbrel costs like an arm & a leg and doesn't always work, what a waste sometimes. Oh well, I take it for when it does work.

I would pre-sort the unopened toys and put the duplicates or toys they were too old for or whatever, in a gift closet for birthday parties OR save them for times when they did something g extraordinary at school and gift it to them at that time but also trade it out for an existing toy.
