Both my daughters have adult acne, it’s tough. I think this show is how you share “ dwarfism awareness”. Best platform is seeing your relationship and “regular life” together with struggles and challenges we all have as well as peaks ! P.s. I love how you base your life on and quote scripture. God is good!

Adult acne is so tough. I am a master esthetician who specialized in adult acne for 10 years. I’ve seen how it can ruin mental health. I’m sorry your girls are going through this. I will say just as a tip…. Most adult acne cases I dealt with were struggling due to hormone imbalance. Most from hormonal birth control. There is hope ❤ wishing your girls healing ❤️‍🩹

@@LaneSims, I agree. I think it’s very hormonal. I had Stage 4 Adult Cystic Acne for the entire decade in my 20’s. I was not on any birth control. I remember my dermatologist saying that I had “dancing hormones” and that things just needed to settle down. By the time I turned 30, my skin was completely clear. I never went on Accutane. I just waited it out. Unfortunately it was mentally damaging to me. It really affected me in a bad way. Now I’m 61. My skin has been clear ever since.

I spent HOURS playing by the creek that we had on our property whilst I was growing up. Building ponds by putting in dams and planting moss and ferns ... then making paper boats to float down the creek. it was a small creek a "babbling brook" is probably a more accurate description. I love that you enjoy your seasonal creek! Great conversations. THANK YOU!

@trueballofwax3077 they prefer the term "little people" Just because society has not caught up! Dwarfism is a medical term to describe their stature. Why is the organization for Zack's team called LPA?? Little people of America NOT Dwarfism of America!! Stay up with the times! That's why the family show was: Little People Big World NOT Dwarfism in a big world!! We can educate ourselves to know what title people prefer. Whether the world gets it correct or not?? Think outside the box

After all, we as parents are here to raise these kids, not keep them. One day they will be out on their own and if you aren't well rounded with your interests, you are going to go through empty nest syndrome when they leave. And I love how y'all re read lize that you're not helping your kids by obsessing over their issues or constantly protecting them from every little thing. You two are great people and awesome parents!

People have trouble with just accepting everyone for who they are unfortunately My son is gay and is a stylist And has had a man in his chair that actually asked him how does he go about talking to his grandson because he is gay My son told him just talk to him like you talk to me, he is just a person We should all treat others how we want to be treated ourselves it would be easier if we were all blind. Total acceptance regardless of race, tall, short, heavy , thin , tattooed , not tattooed , disabled or what ever Being intentionally authentic and kind You guys rock !

I think I heard Tori say something about leaving politics & religion out of outside relationships, I totally agree in this climate today I seriously DON'T need to know what religion u practice or whether ur Republican or Democrat. For some strange reason millennials LOVE boosting about their religion & politics, NOBODY CARES. Keep that in UR family, we just want to know u as Mary not Mary the Christian or Mary the Republican. POV I do believe if people didn't know either of those more people would b getting along & not dividing us. In my parents day, u NEVER talked about ur religion or political preference. My religious beliefs is nobody's business, it's the religion I was raised & believe in & practice, but don't have to share with the world. I've always believed growing up if u have to knock on doors preach constantly about ur religion, that is a colt! Colts want to entice u in get u to join. Religion is individual to everyone & not something u should b convinced into or joined bcuz Mary is a member there. I know podcasts r to talk about whatever topic they want to talk about, but sometimes u just want to zone for an hour & listen to mindless conversations & not have to hear stuff that can't let u escape the bull---- of the outside world. Iwant everyone to get along with everyone & not have to b bombarded by anyone's religious or political beliefs...

I'm glad you talked about this ...I know people whose kids gave autism and all they talk about is autism... everything autism and I am like good gawd can you just stop for five seconds and let your kid be a kid. I'm talking mild autism, not the severe... because I know there's a difference. They lose their identity in their child's situation and then expect everyone else to just obsess over their child's issues and when I don't they get mad. Doing nothing but talking and stressing over their kids can't possibly be good for the kid. Nor is it good for me because they act like if I don't go on and on that means I don't care and that's not true, I am just trying to treat your kid like a normal kid because that's what they are to me. Anyway, I think that's what you were talking about...if not...then I am delusional.
@ct6852
@ct6852 16 күн бұрын
With kids especially it's important not to obsess too much, because they're very much still growing, learning, and changing. Until 25 probably, if not longer. Don't want to limit people too much before they even get started.

I 1000000% agree about not making your disability/diagnosis your identity. A lot of my friends from MDA camp were treated that way growing up and I think their growth was stunted (no pun intended) in that respect. My parents didn't make me feel special or more important, and they certainly didn't cover me in bubble wrap. I did sports, I got injured, but I kept up with my brothers and friends for the most part. I think I was much better socialized because I wasn't thinking about my disability all the time. I left the home at 18 and went to college, went to grad school, worked at WSU for years, started up a business, etc. And then when the time came where I needed to come back home and rely more on my family, they were absolutely there to catch me. Now I live with my folks and I do need a lot more help, but I'm no less independent-minded, I'm still working part-time, and I do as much for myself as I can. My caregivers often talk about how independent I am, even though I have caregivers lol so I think that says a lot about the way my family treated me as a kid. If anything, I was treated with more care for being a girl rather than for being disabled 😂 Moral of the story: y'all are doing an AMAZING job as parents. Keep it up!

Listening to you guys this evening had me wondering about what us was like for Zach playing soccer with average height people? We're there advantages/disadvantages? What position did you usually play or want to play? Any fun or unique game stories? I played soccer nearly every fall for most of my youth including through highschool. Hearing you talk about soccer reminded me of all the stories I have like playing in sleeting snow, or when I was spiked, being taught by a former Olympian, ect. I vividly remember my 30s being as wacky as hitting puberty! For a while I thought it was just me, but after talking to others, I realized it's actually a thing for all of us. Turns out roughly every decade has something new and bizarre cropping up with our bodies -- both men and women! -- so you should prepare yourselves NOW for what happens in your 40s. Then your 50s. And so on. Our hormones love to keep us on our toes throughout life; don't anyone think once you're an adult that's the end of the changes! It's only the beginning! lol (My husband has gone through weird sh-tuff every decade too, both physically and emotionally. It's definitely not just women!)

Fire Country is a good show! It's only one the third season so you can watch the 1st and 2nd season easily to get caught up before you watch the 3rd season!

I only read to gain information I only watch to be entertained Your podcast is one of the best that fits both!😂❤ I enjoy comedy and mystery Love BBC for these, as American tv is boorish and mundane Going through Father Brown all seasons currently

Good morning guys! People don’t want to hear it but THE PIMPLES ARE FROM THE FOOD! I turned carnivore last year and it healed EVERY HEALTH PROBLEM I HAD! I’m 53 and feel 23! I’ve had acne since I was 12! It’s gone so is my arthritis, neuropathy, gout, mental fog, grey hair and so much more! I was only doing it to lose weight and within 60 days I felt super human! ✌❤🥩

This is true. My husband had cystic acne for 55 years and going carnivore cured it! He has clear skin now for 5 years.

I tried Paleo for awhile too, and I felt fabulous. My inflamed joints got SO much better. Ive got to get back on it regularly. I couldn’t eat JUST meat, got to have my veggies and a little dairy.

Tori you have a right to share about Dwarfism because you’re a parent of children with Dwarfism. My daughter in law shares on her Facebook and KZbin for Autism Awareness Month because she has children with Autism and sometimes there are adults and children that don’t understand why your child is having a meltdown in public or stemming and people say oh if that was my child I would spank her or They don’t make their kids mind but actually she is acting like that because she has Autism.
