I always wonder, why do these OP's don't block their enemies, even after they are being kicked out of the house, ostracized by their own parents and family members, and are willing to accept an apology. It’s completely understandable why OP didn’t expose her parents’ antics sooner to the rest of her family. If she had complained about all the petty stuff she experienced, they might have passed it off as “normal sibling behavior.” Also, regarding the grandpa, I’m pretty sure he would have done something sooner regardless of what he was going through in his own life (taking care of grandma), but OP still was respectful enough to not dump this info on him since she felt it would stress him out even more. OP, if you ever read this, let me tell you that whatever circumstances surrounding your birth, it's not your fault. Unfortunately, your parents are just not mature enough to accept that things like these happen, and therefore, need a scapegoat to pin the blame on to make their egos feel better. Narcissism comes in a lot of forms, which your parents and sister absolutely are. Plus, I have a hunch your sister will eventually turn on the parents, cause if she can go nuclear on you over a freaking trip, imagine what will happen if she dates a bad boy and the parents push back. OP was smart not to take their bait, and the sister's unprovoked assault definitely proves they only cared about Grandpa's money. The way they worded their reasoning reeks of extreme narcissism, again with the scapegoating and emotional manipulation, so my only advice is to keep it this way. This story kind of reminds me of my sister. The situation is a lot different, and she wasn't the golden child at all. Our grandparents, who raised us and have a good child ever. But She also had a violent streak of attacking over little stupid things. And she had to physically attacked me when I Hold her that she should stay a bit longer with her kids or come back later but before I could Say, come back later, she started attacking me.
