So yes some kind of faculty at the school should have made sure that she was with an adult until the parents showed up. They just said that they have jobs an hour away so they may not be able to get there on time. The next day i wore a sweater to hide my tears and shakiness and had to act as if i was a liar and avoided everyone in school so CPS wouldnt go to my home wich has happened alot when i was a child Im still being abused and bullied

I genuinely hate saying this but... in my experience, schools do this all the time. They try to brush things under the rug as fast as possible, ignoring all the people they had to trample on along the way. At my old High school, a kid was literally attacked in the middle of the cafeteria and they tried to brush it off and hide it away.... until the kid's guardian (his parents had died or something like that) raised a fuss and the media caught wind of it not because the kid told his guardian, not because the school told her, nope, she only found out because of social media if memory serves.

People in my school were dumb AF without the internet back then. All they knew and believed was what their equally uneducated and mostly uninformed parents imparted to them, and there was no social media in place to regulate the school. Sadly most of the bullies, dumb entitled privileged kids, etc, were raised that way, and still even today feel inconsiderate, and ignorant of other people. One hopes with social media, their kids don't follow in their parents' footsteps.

Dude, my kids were on a bus. The bus driver, skipped over my house. He then proceeded to take my kids back to the school and report us to the school saying we weren't there. I then received a call that if my kids weren't picked up by 4:30( it's not 4:17 and I live 15 minutes from their school) that cps would be involved and my children would be handed over to cps. These schools are fucked up and don't give two fucks about parents.

To schools kids are a dime a dozen and they really don't care about them other than attempting to teach them and in some cases they barely make an attempt to do that and for them to tell the parents to calm down when they had every right to be pissed off just shows that they figure they deal with kids all day that they can talk to adults like that and just blow it off like it's no big deal . Good for the parents for standing their ground and not taking bs from a bunch of so called educators .
