I genuinely hate saying this but... in my experience, schools do this all the time. They try to brush things under the rug as fast as possible, ignoring all the people they had to trample on along the way. At my old High school, a kid was literally attacked in the middle of the cafeteria and they tried to brush it off and hide it away.... until the kid's guardian (his parents had died or something like that) raised a fuss and the media caught wind of it not because the kid told his guardian, not because the school told her, nope, she only found out because of social media if memory serves.

People in my school were dumb AF without the internet back then. All they knew and believed was what their equally uneducated and mostly uninformed parents imparted to them, and there was no social media in place to regulate the school. Sadly most of the bullies, dumb entitled privileged kids, etc, were raised that way, and still even today feel inconsiderate, and ignorant of other people. One hopes with social media, their kids don't follow in their parents' footsteps.

It made me mad how the lady in the beginning was interrupting the mom and trying to pin blame on "transportation". Honestly, who the fuck cares? The child was lost THREE separate times, and you're at fault too. And then she just leaves and says "Can you deal with this?". Infuriating.
@LexiBandGeek3 жыл бұрын
@@jproductions6208 ill bet you anything she's the one who told the little girl that she was leaving to go to a "teachers party" I work in schools and Ive never seen a school just lose a child like this- much less the same child 3 times. I mean shit happens and sometimes kids DO get sidetracked and miss the bus but not 3 times. Unheard of and embarrassing.

What the father said “Until my child gets home you are responsible, you are responsible for my child” the 1st time I’m calm the 2nd time I was mad but I got over it, the 3rd time I’m over it. These are good parents they care about their baby, and if I were these parents, I would just take my kids out that school
@xShadowsOfChaos4 жыл бұрын
Yeah he’s pissed off, but his anger was totally justified. That little girl is way too young for them to not even try to keep an eye on her. And I guarantee they aren’t the only parents who’ve had to deal with this issue at this school, they’re just the first to actually raise enough of a fuss for something to (hopefully) be done about it.

As a teacher, I can confirm that we are responsible also for making sure kids get on the right buses! We even put tags on the children’s book bags that says their bus number and everything. It’s a part of the schools job where the child goes! Period!! Good job, mom and dad for standing up for your kids!

I applaud this man. He is doing exactly what a parent should. Every parent in his district should have his back.
@TradeWinds662 жыл бұрын
Every parent should show up irate and only interested in throwing a fit and venting their anger? I'd think that figuring out why his daughter can't seem to get to the bus and working out a solution moving forward would be a better way of going about this....but I'm probably just being too rational. pointless emotional outbursts and dwelling on who they perceive to be at fault is likely the most we can hope for from parents who are more interested in getting their tantrum on video than actually solving the issue.
@beec97412 жыл бұрын
@@TradeWinds66 ,that might have been the solution initially. In fact if you listened to the parent he said they have attempted the previous two times to do simply that and apparently were ignored since it occurred again. His anger was understandable considering that his child’s safety was at risk.
