I appreciate all of the new people who are just seeing this for the first time, and I particularly appreciate everyone who keeps coming back over the years. For those wanting an “update”, I revisited this video a couple of years ago (14 year old Parker… revisited) on this channel and gave some of the back story. My kids are all grown now and don’t have social media. I keep their lives private, but I can say that Parker and I are as close as ever and he is a professional horse trainer who specializes in starting colts. I cannot talk about the kids’ relationship with other people. I’m sure you understand. And yes, I still frequently respond to comments, especially on the other follow up videos. I enjoy the thoughtful comments, the funny comments and I particularly love my trolls and I’m not shy about putting them in their place. I also frequently pin the best comments that I see and rarely pin my own comment like most lame KZbinrs. I don’t consider myself a very good KZbinr at all. Thanks again for all of the love over the years and feel free to pick yourself up a pair of Karen glasses for Halloween to frighten your favorite peeps, featured in the video. Merry Christmas and I genuinely wish everyone a healthy, sober new year. I’m 4.5 years sober myself and I’m in the best physical shape of my life.

HUGE EDIT: MY VIEWS ON THINGS HAVE CHANGED SOMEWHAT DRAMATICALLY SOME STUFF IN THIS COMMENT MAY BE VALID BUT OTHER PARTS AREN'T. ESPECIALLY WHERE I HAVE SAID THIS KID IS SMARTER THAN HIS MOTHER. THIS VIDEO HAS A VERY LIMITED PERSPECTIVE OF WHAT IS GOING ON, THIS VIDEO MAKES THE MOTHER LOOK MANIPULATIVE WHICH I CAN PUT MYSELF IN THESE KINDS OF SHOES BECAUSE BOTH MY PARENTS WERE BUT I DID FAVOR MY FATHER WHO WAS WAY WORSE. THIS VIDEO DOES NOT SHOW THE ENTIRE STORY BEHIND THE PARENTS AND THE 14YO. THIS MOTHER'S INTENTIONS MAY ACTUALLY BE GENUINE FOR HER KID'S SAFTEY. OR ON THE OTHER HAND SHE IS A MANPIULATIVE TO SOME DEGREE. I STAND BY MY PREVIOUS STATEMENTS THAT THE HUMAN BRAIN DEVELOPS THE ENTIRE LIFE CYCLE (IF I MENTIONED THAT BELOW); SO FORTH HUMANS FROM ADOLESCEBCE TO ELDERLY YEARS CAN REGRESS OR PROGRESS. WHICH IS WHY SOMEONE WHO HAS DISPLINCED THEMSELVES CAN TURN IMPULSIVE AT THE AGE OF 45. HUMANS HAVE UNIQUE EXPERIENCES THAT CAN FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE FOR BETTER OR WORSE. THE HUMAN BRAIN CONTINUES TO PRUNE AND ADD WHITE MATTER. HENCE WHY WHEN ADULTS SWITCH JOBS THEY CAN LEARN NEW THINGS, LIKE TEENAGERS CAN. THEIR PREVIOUS JOB MAY BE PRUNED AWAY BECAUSE IT'S NO LONGER NEEDED. WE HAVE PLENTY OF HISTORICAL EVIDENCE TO BACK THE CLAIMS I MADE. WE SEE THIS IN PSYCHOLOGY. CHRISTAINITY CAN EASILY PROVE THIS AND IT WAS BEFORE NEUROSCIENCE. HUMANS HAVE UNQIUE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES. THIS IS MY CURRENT ATTITUDE AND BELIEFS, I HAVE SEEN PROGRESS AND REGRESSION IN MYSELF NOW THAT I AM OLDER, AS WELL IN MANY ADULTS WHO ARE OLDER THAN ME. ONE CAN ARGUE THAT ADULTS SHOULD KNOW BETTER BY A CERTAIN POINT AND TIME AND THAT MAY BE TRUE, BUT A PERSONS PAST ALSO WHAT DETERMINES IF THAT IS THE TRUTH FOR SAID PERSON IN THAT CIRCUMSTANCE. I AM LEAVING MY PREVIOUS COMMENT BELOW TO SHOW WHAT I DID BELIEVE AND BEING OLDER THEN WHENEVER THIS WAS, MY MIND HAS CHANGED SOMEWHAT. The kid is smarter than his parents, and the entire crap teens don't like their parents etc. is biologically normal. In the west we literally just started parenting teenagers when they use to be independent for thousands of years since caveman times. I mean we basically have disrupted our own evolution on how it wants us to grow up. By the pre-teens a part in the brain where we see our parents as omniscient and rely on them for everything is gone. Probably something to do with puberty starting but it happens. In all mammalian species the adolescent stays for a while, so either the adolescent noves on away from the parents or the parent is staying away from their offspring to enforce independence on their offspring. And here's another thing after one is done with puberty which varies from mid to late teens on average, they are biologically adults. This is before 18 at 18 or after, heck it can be in the early twenties. The adult brain is another story. The current theory about adolescents and young adults and why they take risks is because it's an evolutionary design to find and attract mates. Imagine this, caveman times, Mr. 18yo male over there has been kicked out of his tribe or pack to prevent inbreeding, his brain is 50% complete in the pfc, he's still impulsive, he's faceing a challenge now, he sees plenty of developed females with another male(s). He challenges a male who is older than him for his mate, this male is in his mid twenties, this male is wiser and maybe stronger. The 18yo is going to do impulsive things to win and rise through the ranks to gain this males assests. It's an advantage for the 18yo to take risks to epearn rewards. I can show links if you want to back this all up. A 14yo male is near formal operations which is 15 or 16 for male braons. This is when the intellect matures out in the PFC to make informed decisions, the limbic system tho develops much faster than the PFC, so the emotions are haywired. This is where pleasure fight or flight and other adult emotions come from, basically the amygdala that is part of the limbic system is a car accelerator, the PFC is the brake that is still a major wip. Thhe amygdala hjacks the pfc and makes it harder for teens to think in the moment. It's not impossible just very difficult.
@SuperTCGamer4 жыл бұрын
Also not to mention, a 14yo male is NOT a child. Most times a 14yo male is not a physical adult. The right term here to apply in biology, legality and neuroloy is adolescent.

*_|||" 'Hes having a temper tantrum' she says while Parker is visibly being stoic, calm, and standing his ground when needed"|||_* To be honest, I think both Parker and mother are acting more calm and rational than they would if there was no camera and audience on them. I get, though, that a lot of Parker's "need for anger management" are because the mother might have bullied him. Parker responded by defending himself, and the mother than responded by making him take anger management; just for the thrill of power and control. I had a violent, verbally and physically abusive older sister; the spoiled princess brat of the family. She is never wrong in my father's eyes, as he himself is an equally physically virulent bully. Same story as what I think Parker is going through. When the issues between me and her are brought to the attention of other people, there's always some calm rationality about my sister and father; making them look like they were the victim of misunderstanding; and making me look like the troubled child of whom they were "only trying to help". I get the manipulation and mindgames. I lived it. I hope, though, that Parker takes it as a blessing that he has a father who would come to his aid; to be his place of rest and shelter. I don't have that. I'm the black sheep of the family, 100%. When my father and older sister (spoiled Princess fuck...) use me as their emotional dumping ground, I can't turn to my mother completely for emotional support, the way Parker can with Caleb.
@buttovelli91986 ай бұрын
@@achen5689 bro that just resonated with me. Unfortunately narcissists have this confidence and ability to articulate their defence where they sound like they are in the right even when they are completely in the wrong. The shameless manipulation is despicable. Gaslighting you into thinking that you are always wrong. Making you always doubt yourself and always holding your self-esteem in the dirt. It's so cruel and abusive and it almost seems like they don't even realize it. To a narcissist the number one priority is always feeling like they are in power and always in the right, so I believe there is delusion related to it. They fool themselves into thinking that they are infallible because their sense of self-worth is so strongly tied to it, tied to feeling like they are indomitable. Overbearing and always talking others down. Always a strong aura of tyrannical power and condescension.
