I'm guessing it's because "rape" means forced sex without consent. Seduction probably refers to her manipulating him and taking advantage of him being too young to know what he was getting into. You nailed it!! Amidst all the very justified anger about this situation, there is that silver lining. The young man seems mature for his age and to all intents looks to be a kind and loving father. His son clearly loves his Daddy with all his heart. In what is an otherwise grim picture there is this shining through. We only get a glimpse, but I only hope that it is a glimpse that shows us something better to strive for. That young man will never get his childhood and teen years back, but there will be the compensation of a little person who loves his daddy. That has to be worth something.

It was their choice to love the baby regardless. My guess the grandmother grew attached to the baby before she found out her son was the father. Both paths take great strength and I hope them the best. If it was my son though that woman wouldn’t be breathing air in a cell.

But I hope a message his son takes from this story is that even though he is the product of such heartbreak, his father loves him enough that even at such a young age he decided to raise him and keep him. And that's hiw beauty is born from tragedy! And though he was groomed and abused by someone who was supposed to protect him, he has nothing but love in his heart for his little boy. And that says so much about his character as a budding man. I have so much respect for anyone who has been victimized, and they don't perpetuate the cycle of abuse!

I agree but the difference is there's no physical pain involved when the victim is male and the rapist is a woman. A woman could be seriously injured but a male is still doing the penetrating not being penetrated so there's no physical pain in this situation but it's obviously still wrong.

It may depend on how that state defines rape. Unfortunately many states still have it on their books that for "rape" to occur there has to be forced vaginal insertion, and if another orafice is violated, an object is used, or the violation was external, then it's called something other than "rape." The terminology hurts female and male victims both, because forced vaginal penetration is NOT the only traumatizing type of sexual activity. Not by a long shot.

I completely agree, When I was about 10 years old and my cousin was 11 he was also pretty mature looking for his age, (but definitely still 11!) and all my friends liked him. I just cant imagine a grown ass woman having a kid with my cousin at that age. Your practically still a baby. That's so predatory.

@@theonlybingledingle he has a good relationship becuz they're both children...I have a fantastic relationship with my 2 year old sister (I'm 17) and yes, that relationship is not down to my parents, but it has nothing to do with me or my parents raising her either U can have a great relationship with a child and not have been the one to raise them is what I'm basically trying to say That kid was born when he was 11, obviously his parents have been raising him for at least 80% of the time...no 11 year old cud raise a child alone without help...they're giving credit where credit is due to the parents, everyone is saying he's done a great job raising the kid, but he's probably barely raised him himself...at least not until he was older

You will be surprised how easy is to explain things to children. Yes the teenager was raped, but that does not mean they won’t be able to explain to the child what happened and care for him.

@@nickgreu4ever imagine finding out the woman who gave you birth is a criminal that raped your 11 year old father. They might be able to provide the child happy childhood and make sure he doesn’t feel any void, since grandma is there to be a sort of mother figure. The problem is he’s going to grow up and start understanding things. Even not knowing anything about his mother, growing up he will realize that having a 12 year older father is not normal. I just hope this doesn’t affect the adulthood of both the father and the child.
